Q: is this a glass jar or plastic?

The Icelandic salt I received from Amazon in 2018 was in a glass container and packaged well enough to survive shipping. The salt purchased in Iceland in 2017 was also in a glass container. Hope this helps you out.

Flaky sea salt is a combination of minerals and does not contain any ingredients that can expire. Therefore the shelf-life of our sea salt is unlimited.
