Norpro Bamboo 12-Inch Spatula, Flat Handle

Simple but serves its purpose well. I like the straight flat head and the little scooped edge. Light weight and comfortable to use. My favorite wooden spoon, I own two now.

I use this thing every day. It’s light but sturdy and a nice replacement for those toxic black plastic spatulas when cooking.

Head is small, so don't expect to flip a pancake with this. Bamboo (as with most wood kitchen tools) can be high-maintenance, make sure you're not machine washing it or leaving it wet for too long or it will grow mold deep. I broke both rules at once, putting it in my dishwasher and leaving it there for a few days - it grew a lot of mold very quickly. It's also fairly heat sensitive and burnable, so don't leave it on the stove or it'll burn and crack. Otherwise, it'll serve you well.

One of my peeves in the kitchen is utensils that pick up strong food flavors. looking at you, silicone. This spatula is pretty much the perfect kitchen tool. Have used this for several months and it looks and smells like the day I bought it.
