No, not at all. They actually have a very hard sole and step. But these are one of the best pairs of shoes for active/gym activity I've ever had. The high quality leather really molds to the shape of your foot. They do run a bit small also.

i dont know what you mean flat feet my friend. as a review i can say they are very good to wear all day.
