Even if you use a SIM with 'Unlimited" plan you need to read the contracts fine print. Any usage as a hotspot will still be data capped.

Q: Can you use a wifi booster with this to get a stronger wifi signal?

Yes you can. My next door neighbor added 2 wifi extenders to his.

Q: Can we use sim card and no prepaid?

you do t want this on a monthly lan they want $10 for 5gb if you go over

I update my iphones using it, not sure why you would't be able to.
