I repaired my parents' sliding screen door that had this exact pet door in it. My Dad had installed it flush with the side and bottom and the screen was starting to tear and the two sides of the door popping as some have said. When I repaired the screen I installed the door per the instructions. I made sure the door was taller than the shoulders of the dogs, which put it at least 5 inches up from the bottom. Installation went very smoothly. As others have suggested I did glue the door. I used 527 adhesive and put dabs on each pin and hole before snapping the two sides together. I did tap gently with a tack hammer to make sure both sides were snapped together tightly. My parents are pleased with the result and the dogs are happy they don't have to duck and slink through the door anymore.

And I'm happy to report that the installation of this dog door WAS A BREEZE.I don't understand why I saw so many reviews about how difficult this door was to install. It honestly could not have been easier, and my wife and I were able to install it in about 15-20 minutes. Not only were we able to install it very quickly, but we didn't use a drop of glue, nor did we have to use the zip ties that come in the package. Here's how we did it:1. Separate all the pieces with a flathead screwdriver. Pull the two ball shaped pieces off of the frame of the door, they are meant to be removed.2. Have someone hold up half of the frame against the screen in the location you're looking to install it. The second person should be on the other side of the screen with a box cutter. Use the box cutter to make tiny holes in the screen at all of the inserts on the frame that person 1 is holding. You should also make little holes for all of the pegs that are attached to the frame.3. Grab the other half of the base, and snap it together through the little holes in the screen that you just made. That's it, frame is installed. No glue, no zip ties, and the hold seems to be pretty firm.4. Take the box cutter, and cut the screen out of the inside of the frame. Take that piece of screen and snap into the inner frame piece that you haven't installed yet. Snap the inner-frame into the outer-frame to make the swinging door, and viola, you're done.5. The little balls can be used to lock the door flap if needed.Again, this installation couldn't have been easier. The door works well, and has been handling the impact of my blind, 90 pound lab very well. If you're looking for an easy-to-install dog door, look no further.

This is a pretty nice doggy door. Was easy to install and our dog uses it easily. I don't think he likes it as well as the floppy one for the glass door because it is a little stiffer to get through, but he manages fine. We like that it's nice and sturdy. I'd recommend it. Have had it in for a few months now and looks like it'll last a quite a while. Time will tell but it's holding up good so far.Update: Well, about 8 and a half months later (since time of purchase).....the frame is intact, however, it's been little by little unsnapping from itself, so I took away one star. My husband will be be putting nuts and bolts through it to secure it again which I think will work, otherwise, it'd be no good anymore as it's coming completely loose from the screen. Again, the frame is sturdy and still in good shape except for coming loose from the screen. Maybe the manufacturers can work on that. I will say, to their credit, that it has held up to our chow diving through it a couple times. (and it still stands that our chow prefers we open the screen door for him, LOL, because it is a bit stiff to go through, but ok)

Fits perfectly. Easy to install

This is the 2nd one of these that I've purchased. The first one was easier to install for some reason. I was hoping the holes would line up with the holes we cut in the screen for the last one (same mfg) but they didn't. It doesn't snap together easily and you have to provide your own glue. The magnets that help keep the door closed fell out of the package and 2 were lost before I even realized it. I've re-glued it several times but still have to use the provided zip-ties to keep it attached to the door.

I got this when we added out screened in porch. I put this in the screened door so the dogs could go in an out on their own. It was so easy to install and works great..I got the large and we have a 75lb Boxer. Now we can enjoy the porch and so can Cooper!

This doesn’t work unless it is placed very close to the frame near the opening. It probably wouldn’t last long without the screen ripping and the door still won’t be able to completely open.

This was very easy to install and very easy to follow instructions. I was leary to cut the screen for my patio door but after I got over my fear, it worked so well!! This gives my dog the freedom to go out on our back deck whenever he wants without leaving our house open to all the bugs and critters.

Die Klappe ist sehr leicht zu montieren, dank der guten Anleitung und qualitativ hochwertig. Kein "wabbeliges Kunststoffding" sondern stabil und für meinen Jack Russel Beagle Mix leicht zu bedienen. Die beste Anschaffung ever!

Habe die Klappe schon zum zweiten Mal gekauft , ist super einfach zu montieren und total robust .
