I just installed in this week, works great. Noise level is low, the inside is large and doesn't take long to heat up food. Defrost option works great. The light over the stove could be brighter than what it came with. I haven't not attempted to replace the bulb for a higher wattage. It has two light settings, High and low.

This replaced a similar GE microwave that lasted about 5 years. Magnetron and door switches failed in that unit. Hopefully this unit lasts longer. Giving 3 stars because the unit arrived dented/ bulged on one end. Box didn't appear damaged from shipping. It fit into cabinet opening with help of 3 people to squeeze it in. Didn't want to deal with returning it.

The microwave was fairly easy to install, looks and works great!

We bought this identical model because our 7 year old microwave suddenly died. We had a technician come out to check it but he said figuring out what was wrong would be costly enough that it would be better to just buy a new one. A 7 year life span is ridiculous....now this hunk of part will just be thrown into a landfill. Wasteful. Make a product that lasts! Or at least can be repaired easier. This microwave has the same plastic parts but some are even flimsier that the previous one. So I assume it will just break even sooner than 7 years. The clock light is so bright it looks blurry from just a few feet away so the time can only be read off from a close distance. Before I could be in the living room and read the time on the microwave to see how much longer on the time. Now that is impossible. The door has wiggle room up and downwards. I don't have confidence it won't just get more and more wiggle room as time goes by. Even the microwave is the same measurements outside. The inside cooking area is smaller. The door on this new one is about an inch and half shorter. I would send it back but it matches the dishwasher and refrigerator and I wouldn't be pleased if it didn't match. Another very annoying cost cut is the display board has airbubbles under it. It is so flimsy that wiping it down will be hard. It scratches as the slightest touch. I tried to press the air bubble out and it left a scratch and a warped indentation. Considering it is the style that mounts above our range it's going to be horrible to clean. I'm sure it will look all scratched and worn in no time. Really crappy craftmanship. It's already installed so the hard work of having it uninstalled to rebox and send back makes it too daunting to do so, so I guess were stuck with a less than stellar GE product.

Only when your Microwave dies do you realize how often you depend on them. For that reason the time frame to get what no one seems to have in stock any longer - really matters. This was due to arrive on Wednesday and came in on Saturday - FOUR DAYS EARLY!!! This caused a great big smile. It went in very smoothly and looks fine. Underscore LOOKS fine. It also works fine with one exception. The door closing mechanism seems really CHEAP. It has WAY too great tension on the springs that push up on the retaining pins to hold the door shut and the effort to push over the point of release causes it to require far more effort than it should. German Engineering it is NOT. I intend to call Panasonic on Monday and see what they advise. Otherwise all is well. One other thing I noticed - since this is an over the range model and I have it vented out the rear to the exterior - I turned it on Boost and checked to make certain it was doing a decent job. It seems far more powerful than any exhaust fan I have seen recently. Great job on the fan. Also of note - the boost function is only available when the microwave is not in use. Evidently they have so much committed to that speed that the power needs of the MW do not allow for boost. All other speeds work when the MW is on. I will update after talking to Panasonic.

Bought this to replace ours that took a crap on us. Showed up dented and it’s definitely not the same quality as the original. Not worth the price, but what we gonna do

This was exactly what I wanted.. was able to order and delivered a lot quicker than from local stores.. was fairly easy to install. You need a little muscle, with 2 people installing.. it was replacing one so all pieces & electrical was already in place..

I thought it was silly to purchase a microwave on Amazon. It turned out to be great. It was delivered to our door 5 days sooner than promised. Installed the same afternoon, looks & works great.
