I love that the water tank drains completely, no stale water, no algae! Super easy to fill daily or more, and clean thoroughly every week in seconds. You can select the BOLD setting, or not, easily from the 5 lighted yet completely smooth display options. 1.On /Off 2. BOLD (drips slower and hotter to release more flavor), I LOVE THIS SELECTION!! Hot and strong! 3. 8oz- reg, or w/BOLD selection: hot and strong! 4. 10oz reg, average coffee strength, BOLD Selection makes this a stout breakfast or brunch/break time coffee. 5. 12oz mild strength coffee, good with sweets, BOLD 12oz… ICED COFFEE PERFECT, right off of the coffee machine and into the fridge!! I add 3 pumps of SF caramel syrup, a shot glass of heavy cream, and ice. Yummy. I bought the red one, it’s sturdy with nice heaviness thick satiny red plastic body, and has a slightly retro look. Perfect in my kitchen. The bottom drip tray grate removes for an extra inch or so, space for the taller travel mugs I have. Compared to a red less than $25.00 knockoff I wasted money on before buying this InstaPot Coffee Maker. This Instapot quality is just very obviously much better, sleek and modern, yet the red has a retro flair. . Much hotter, much better taste, easy to keep clean! I’ll quickly compare it to the multiple Keurig machines I’ve owned or used. Similar, except hotter coffee, cheaper in price, but Insta feels like a better quality than Keurig, I really like it. My Keurig coffee machines have always been the full size model and hard to clean, non complete emptying has caused algae to appear in the water tank between weekly cleanings for my elderly house cleaning clients. Yuck! Every Keurig I’ve had has stopping working at about year 1, maybe year two but I don’t think they last long enough for the price. I’m the only coffee drinker in my household. In closing, It’s just three months old but it still works great! Still works like new! Still looks like new! I’ll definitely update this next year if I can remember.

Hello Solo🙂 Love the design style and color Simple and efficient coffee maker. First time user of the Kcup style of coffee brewer. I’m the sole coffee drinker in the house and prefer real brew over instant. Was looking for a small 3 or 4 coffee pot brewer to replace my slow slow Mr Coffee maker. I decided to try the single cup style I researched many models and wasn’t impressed with most. Then I found the Solo. Works perfect, brews great, nice having multiple features, and cleans easy, it’s fast and hot. It offered the best countertop space fitting design.

UPDATE 9/12/25: it's great till it's NOT!! I've only had this coffee maker since 3/1/25...6 months. I've only used it 4-5 times as I bought it for company which is not very often. I TRIED to turn it on the other day for my daughter and it WON'T TURN ON! I've contacted InstantPot customer service and while they respond, you have to keep jumping through hoops to get help and in my case, a replacement. My husband tested it with a voltage meter to see if it was received current...NO. It is dead. I also tried 4 different outlets which are working...NO. The problem is with InstantPot customer service. I have jumped through all of their hoops...receipt, photos etc...NOW they want a video of me pressing the ON button which I finally was able to accomplish. The problem is that my phone won't send the video. due to the file being too large. I redid the video, but it still won't send. I should not have to jump through all of these hoops. I paid $76 for a machine that only worked 4-5 times. This is not right. Shame on InstantPot. I've only used it once, but really like it. The coffee was great and I like the single serve for guests if someone drops by. I don't like brewing a whole pot. Seems well made.

I’ve been using this brewer for the past 3 months and have had no issues getting consistent quality brews. I am selecting the 10 oz. setting using the included reusable coffee pod accessory. I grind the beans to a med-fine consistency and fill the pod to the top(2 tablespoons). I use reverse osmosis filtered water to eliminate minerals and “city water” taste. There are minimal bean grindings in the finished brew. The retail K-cups render the best flavor at the 8 oz setting with no grounds in the brew. The brewed coffee temp tests at approximately 180 degrees which is way too hot to drink immediately. I brew into an insulated 16 oz. go-cup and the coffee stays at a drinkable temp for an hour or more, dependent upon the ambient air temp and quality of the insulated cup. The brewer works equally well with purchased K-cups or grind your own beans. I have a wonderful local coffee roaster and find purchased whole beans to be much more economical than K-cups, in addition to supporting a local small business. My only recommendation would be to order an extra reusable coffee pod accessory. Mine has been used for approximately 400 brews and it is showing some wear. Overall, I highly recommend this brewer with top results for consistency, brew temp and ease of use.

I recently used an older version of this at an air bnb. I had never used a K-cup coffee maker and kind of fell in love with this machine. I've been a drip coffee user for decades. So while I am still really loving my new coffee maker it has two big flaws. Unlike the insta-solo at the air bnb, this unit will not accept eco pods. It also won't accept generic reusable K cup pods. I am baffled why the older version (no bold button) used the eco pods but the same brand of eco pods would not allow the lid to close. Fortunately many pods are compostable, but still! That's my beef. Been using the proprietary reusable pod the machine came with and that's working great since I have a big stash of coffee. Love it's so hot after brewing and overall it's a great machine after 1 month of use.
