This was exactly what I wanted, love it. It works great. Couldn't be happier.

I’m a long time collector of Vaseline glass which is yes radioactive glass with uranium in it. I don’t actually use it, but display it behind cabinet doors. The thing is, you can’t tell it’s Vaseline unless there are black lights shining on it. There are no black lighted cabinets I could find. The black light strips I perused required serious drilling of holes trying to get an outlet through the cabinet, so none of these were an option. What I ended up with were these and they are perfect! It works with three AA batteries in a box that’s attached to a long adhesive strip with black lights all throughout the strip. It took me about a minute to stick the adhesive to the cabinet, flip the switch and presto, my glass lights up. Very convenient and easy with no drilling or outlet access to worry about.

This worked well for a costume.As other reviewers have mentioned, there is not a waterproofing seal on the flimsy-seeming battery box.The color of the light after just a short time (maybe 15 minutes total of having the lights on, with a fresh set of batteries), seemed to change from the purple-ish glow to a more blue-ish white glow, but interestingly, only for those lights further away from the battery pack. The ones closest to the battery pack were still glowing purple-ish. It was still making the u.v. reactive paint on the costume light up, and it kind of looked cool on this particular costume, so I didn't mind too much. They did last through the short amount of time the costume was used. Since this was the *only* black light strand run by a battery pack that I could find on Amazon, I was just happy to have it for the costume!Oh, also, the chemical plastic smell is *strong.* I suggest airing it out/ using it only in areas where there is good ventilation.One side of the light strip has a red plastic removable film, that it think is the backing to adhesive, so it could self-stick to something. I didn’t need/want it to stick that way for my costume, so I just left the plastic film on. It would have been nice if the plastic film had been clear, black, or white, to blend in more, as the lights dangled from the top of the costume as a jellyfish tentacle, but it still worked fine. One plus, was that since it was packaged being wound around a spool, the strand kept that curved shape & dangled down in a spiral curl, making a good looking jellyfish tentacle.

The media could not be loaded. Be sure to watch the video for the full effect! My son had an idea to create a costume using a clear umbrella to make it appear as if he was under a rain cloud. The black light strip was amazing, as it contains "real" black lights and not just purple colored lights. In addition, the adhesive side was great, the battery pack small and simple, and the lights lasted on one set of batteries for two entire events. They are still just as bright, so have to guess they will last a while. At the events, everyone loved trying to get under the umbrella so their clothes would glow, or just to see how amazing it was inside. Also, the light strip was flexible so we were actually able to close and open the umbrella. We used double-sided velcro tape to stick the battery pack on the inside of the umbrella as well.

I ordered 1 stop of these uv lights to try them and make sure they made stuff glow. They did and were great! So I ordered 2 more for what I needed them for and didnt open them until I got to the venue I wanted to use them at. They were NOT the same as the 1st stop I received. Side by side they were almost opposite in color. I tried new name brand batteries and they still had an almost white uneven light. Not black or uv at all. So disappointing and totally ruined my glow party vibe. I thought I did good by only ordering 1 to check but I should have opened the next order rather than assuming they would be the same product.I used them anyway because it's the only lighting I had so of course I cant return them but buyer beware! Check all strips b4 depending on them!

Works perfect without having to drill holes in her cabinet. When she displays at night, the whole lights up beautifully. Easy to install. Just have to plan placement before installing. Great for displaying her unique antique collection.

I bought this on a whim because i was desperate but this is SUCH A GOOD PRODUCT it has a nice brightness not too bright to give you an eye sore but it is a very good product worth its money as you can see i bought this for my funko pops that use uv and they look really cool also charged up the glow in the dark pops too
