Almost too much power!
Makes a good cup of coffee but requires a bit of getting used to its quirky way of working. So after having used this machine for almost a year, I feel well versed on how to avoid issues. Very powerful, almost too much power, and gives a great crema on top of the coffee. My biggest issues have been the water leaking onto the countertop - that has occurred twice and I have no idea why. The second issue is once you make coffee and steam the milk, you cannot go back to making a second cup of coffee until the machine cools down. So after each use I turn it off completely so it will cool. If you try to make coffee when it is hot, the system will not work. I’ve had a few issues with it burning the coffee. For the price it does a great job once you learn the best way to make it work.

Early review
Initially I was very impressed with this machine. I use the 2 cup button to make cappuccino which was fine, and I think I have now mastered the frother. However, now when I make a second cup and press the 2 cup touch button it flashes with 3 zeros showing instead of the counter showing up to 25 seconds. It also splashes down the handle of the coffee container onto the work surface. First cup works fine but second cup always splashes now. I ensure that the handle of the coffee holder is securely fitted but it still splashes. I also ensure that I don’t overfill the coffee container and use a weighted tamper to ensure that the coffee is pressed down correctly. I have only had this for about 3 weeks but if it continues like this I may have to return it which is a shame because it was very good when I first had it. I may have to change my review if I find that I am doing something wrong.

Takes a long time to heat up
Works but takes a long time to heat up and the steam wand is too short to heat a reasonable amount of milk.

Great machine,but
Sturdy coffee machine and makes good coffee with a bit of practice.Only 1 issue, water leaks from the water tank.i was just about to return it when I tried some plumbing tape around the part that connects it to the machine. So far it seems to have done the trick so I'll keep an eye on it, otherwise it's just what I wanted from a budget machine.

Fantastic machine, love it *****
Bought the machine in June for £225 and had a perfect coffee everyday since 🥰. I'm comparing my old baby Gaggia Twin to this. The Kotlie wins hands down. The compact design, the perfect crema, easy cleaning, the simple digital automatic settings for a small, large coffee, but I tend to use manual button for 50 seconds to proudly stand watching this amazing little machine do it's thing 😍. I have a gaggia milk thermometer and steam my milk in a small stainless jug up to 70° for a perfect coffee. I use a damp cloth to clean and remove the steam arm attachment then a quick blast of steam in a cup of water to clean any milk residue from the tiny hole of the steam arm. I honestly have nothing negative to say about this machine. A little tip, should the steam function stop working it's probably milk clogged in the hole, quickly cleared with a pin. Also after 3 months of using this little gem, found out the little black flip/clip on the handle is to be flipped over and held in place by your thumb to stop the brewing cup falling in the bin when bashing out the spent grounds. Another tip, when fitting the brew handle, hold the cup rather than the handle, it's easier to fit 😊... as for my ground coffee choice, I bought the Lavazza Rosso ground coffee 500g £5, Costco, thought that teasted lovely till I tried the Aldi Espresso 5, 227g @ £1.39. OMG, this is perfect rich taste for me at a fraction of the cost of top brands 😍

Very Good Machine
I bought this machine to replace a Breville that broke and, after using it for a few weeks now I can say that I'm very happy with it. It's very straightforward to use, there's two settings but I prefer to use the custom setting and brew a mug using the larger of the two filters. It will take a mug up to 8cm tall without removing the drip tray. I found one that was wide so is ideal for this machine. The milk frother works well too, however I get better results by initially using a cup to catch the residual water that come from the frother before steam is produced, then swapping over to the milk jug once steam is flowing. This unit also take ESE pods and has a high enough pressure to produce a decent brew from them, this is something that was lacking in my previous machine. All in all this is a good no frills unit that can be relied upon to produce great coffee without any hassle.

More than capable small factor machine.
Great little machine. Powerful with a good milk frother. The machine produces so much pressure I don’t usually use the frother as the coffee is usually well aerated. The space between the head and the drip tray only allows for a small cup, however the drip tray can be removed to fit a mug, just remember to put the tray back to catch the drips. Overall very satisfied and so much better than the £270 pod machine I had previously.
