The ends don't fit onto the cable, and when i did manage to wedge one on it still just slid through the hole in the bike and doesn't keep the cable in place where its supposed to go so i put some tape around it and the brakes do work but its an eye sore so im going to have to spend more money and buy new ones again now because its no good and thers not enough of the cable housing for the cables, u get 4 cable wires 2 for gears and 2 for brakes and only get enough cable housing to do the brakes so need more of that as well . other than that i liked the colour i bought and that's it

Housing is the correct type for brake cables (spiral coil) and comes with 4 brake cables, 2 of sufficient length for the front brake and the other 2 were long enough for the back brakes.Not enough small pieces for each individual cable if you were planning on using the rest of the parts for a future replacement when the cables wear out.This kit also doesn't include brake noodle or rubber boots, so I would say it is an incomplete brake kit, so might want to look for a kit that offers those too.

These brake cables are adequate however these are not compatible with my gears as the ends are too big. There is also not enough cable housing for replacing both brakes and gears.The green housing does look good on the bike though.For those who mentioned the ends not fitting snuggly. That is because they need squeezing in place to stay. Which I have successfully done, and then again with the same one as I decided to change the brake callipers too after I had replaced the cables and the fittings required feeding through.

The outer housing and cables are fine but not great and with the universal ends one for gear shifters and one for brakes, honestly I’d buy actual ones next time. Cables with soldered ends are much better than these as for whichever you need brake or gear you have to cut the other end off and it never stays perfect.

Outer cable is one size. Doesn't cut clean. Compresses a lot on pulling the brakes. The cables are too thick, and the heads and much bigger than Shimano standard. Might just get you out of a jam if you're stuck, but look elsewhere for better quality.
