Came fast and definitely helped with hangover!

I did not buy this to mitigate hangovers, I haven't had one in, well, I don't remember. I like my cocktails, one or two( on weekends), as I like my bourbon but don't like to be drunk. The little buzz you get after the first few sips is about it. All the papers I've read show it's been proven over the last 30 yrs that H. Dulcis reduces ALDH quickly in the liver and blood. It's been used in China for a millennium. I'm eating a keto diet and alcohol is not recommended due to the way metabolizes, it basically sabotages any progress you might make. Hence the purchase of this, as an experiment to see if works. I take a half to one 20-30 minutes before a cocktail or glass of wine. The next day ketosis is still in effect, therefore it's not metabolizing into ALDH. I seem to feel the effects of the alcohol less, which is good in my book. Still get the buzz from the alcohol that gets absorbed through the mouth and stomach lining, I think about 10% if I remember right, but it lasts perhaps an hour and goes away. Nice. I understand your blood alcohol level does not change that quick, so no taking this and drinking and driving. Also, no headaches, no liver damage etc., if it works as all the articles I've read state, that includes Pubmed and Semantic Scholar papers. I've been buying this brand because of the content, it's much more economical than the others and in my opinion works better.

Great DHM supplement. I have used it multiple times after a night out (taken after my last drink) and it has significantly helped remedy the hangover symptoms.

Breaks down histamine in alcohol.

For drinkers, DHM is a wonder drug. It is by far the most effective supplement I have found to reduce the effects of a night of drinking. Last night I drank 4/5ths of a bottle of wine (my wife drank the other 1/5) followed by a mixed drink. This is usually enough that I wouldn't feel my best the next day. I took three of these pills and woke up this morning rested and feeling as if I hadn't imbibed at all. As a daily drinker who wants to cut back but not quit, I have been actively looking for supplements that help reduce consumption as well as the after-effects of a night of drinking. Speaking on behalf of most daily drinkers, we want to cut back but are usually stymied by a lack of will-power after that first drink. I have mixed feelings about DHM because it is a supplement that does not help reduce consumption (try Kudzu for that). It is a supplement that helps clear alcohol out of your system more quickly and with less damage to your liver (this has been clinically proven). If I could get down to two glasses of wine every night I'd be elated. But as a next best option, DHM allows me to drink my (admittedly too much) 5-6 servings of alcohol and wake up feeling rested. My main criticism is that these pills are HARD to swallow. They're big and kind of chalky. I'm 6'3" with a big mouth but I still have to cut them in half to get them down the hatch.
