Solidly built, get the metal ones!
Soooo much better than the plastic Malibu lights. Better looking, sturdier, brighter, just way way better. The metal bases with metal screw connectors work well. These get blasted by sprinklers, no problems after many months. I bought this 4-pack and another single, they are the same quality.The bulbs do burn out super fast, after much searching I recommend this 2W LED:Makergroup T5 T10 Wedge Base LED Light Bulbs ASIN B07K9KHMK4The photo has two lights with original 11w bulbs, two with 2w LEDs...hard to tell the difference in terms of color or brightness. The two shots with feet compare the 11w to the 2w...the latter is just slightly brighter in terms of ground coverage.

I love these wired lights!
Although these are a bit pricey, they match the ones I have had for many years. The only problem with the older ones is they break down after a period of time. Like the metal disintegrates from the sun. We will see if these do the same.I like the wired ones as they stay on all night, not like the solar that will not come on if the sun has not been out all day!These are only replacement pathways and not any of the wiring or control box needed to make them work.

Malibou landscape lamps
Love the lamps with the screws that lift from top making it much easier to replace burned out bulbs. One's I used previously had the bottom lift screw and it was necessary to pull lamp from soil and turn upside down. Ordered a set of our but one does not work. Haven't sent it back so don't know if the company will replace it.

Bulb holder is sloppily made.
I am very upset with these outdoor lights! The way you can get into fixture is awesome! Just unscrew the fixture. You don't have to unscrew 4 screws to get to the bulb, HOWEVER the piece that holds the bulb is SLOPPYand so they are always going off or burning out due to vibration of bulb. I thought Malibu was a good company, but I'm tired of replacing bulbs.

Electrical connector weak
The wires extending from the light could be a little longer. Makes it slightly harder to install where the line is already in the ground. Also, the 2-piece connector that attaches to the low voltage line is flimsy and does not snap together well. Otherwise seems like a good product but time will tell...
