Like Mighty Mo, small but Mighty
My goal was to setup a secondary workstation site off my laptop so I could adjust my sound system. As the saying goes: "MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!"Due to using the: TOTU THUNDERBOLT 3 Dock, device which not only allowed me to use a secondary, well a third, monitor + keyboard & mouse, but also reduced the number of cables coming from my laptop since I have several other devices. If you plan on something similar, just remember to use a Thunderbolt cable from your laptop/desktop to the thunderbolt port on the THUNDERBOLT device. You must have a Thunderbolt port from your computer.

Dual display on M1 Max Macbook Pro
I had a bit of an issue connecting two 4k@60Hz displays on my M1 Max 16 MacBook Pro. After some troubleshooting with the support department, we found that my second display was having some issues with the power managment settings, and it wouldn't recognize the two displays at the same time. The workaround, however is pretty simple: I need to disconnect the Display Port cable from the dock (or turn off the screen from the power button, in my case), And let the usb c adapter to do the handshake with my Mac. a few seconds later, when the display is showing up correctly just turn the DP back on, and Wuala! two 4k@60Hz in a single thunderbolt cable.I'm also happy to report that the 60w power is plenty for my M1 Max to keep the battery charge, even when using for heavy postproduction (with 2 extra 4k displays) and all my USB devices and SD reader works great. Very happy with the product, clean setup, and great value!

Gets you more USB-C / Thunderbolt ports -- LASTED A YEAR AND A HALF
UPDATE April 2024: It died. A year and a half isn't terrible, considering the work I put this through. I just want a hub that will live forever, is that asking too much? Downgraded from 5 to 3 stars for relatively short lifespan.I use this to squeeze in a couple more USB-C drives on my iMac Pro. Works like a charm. Not all of them push the same amount of data so check the manual and make sure you have the drive you need moving super fast plugged into the super-fast port, etc. This will get you TWO additional USB-C style ports. One of the ports is plugged into your computer, which leaves you with THREE -- however, you are using ONE of the ports on your computer to plug it in, resulting in TWO extras (3 - 1 = 2). Which, frankly, is great. (Ah the good ol' days when we had our massive USB expansion hubs....)

still works a year later
my computer is under my desk so I had to crawl under the desk to plug stuff in. This changed that. This is a good box. I have it connected via usbc to a usbc 3.2 gen2 card from inateck. It gets advertised speeds. I have used this as a dock with my monitor and laptop it charges and transmits 4k60 with no problem over thunderbolt. It doesn't get hot. However, make sure you use a high quality usbc data cable as I have had 1 cable die.
