So you thought you knew Biblical history, hang on for an incredible journey into our Kings Commandments and Covenants. I simple cannot say enough about Mrs. Rosenquists curriculum. Our entire family is benefitting immensely from the understanding of scripture on a whole new level. This information is so in-depth, yet incredibly understandable! Lessons can be done daily, twice a week, weekly, whatever fits your schedule. However, I will warn you, each lesson leaves you wanting more. Your Biblical vocabulary will increase with each lesson and thought provoking homework assignments help to cement everything you and your children will be learning.

This book explains the Biblical covenants in a way that you have likely never heard before, in their ancient near eastern context. Tyler Dawn Rosenquist has a gift for being able to teach the harder concepts on an easy-to-understand level. The information is provided in an easily readable way. Even though these textbooks were written for kids, adults can also learn from them. I purchased the book for myself since my children are all grown up and moved away. However, I am sure that your family will enjoy adding "Context for Kids" to your home school curriculum or just your family devotion time.

I bought this book, as well as her first book Honor and Shame in the Bible, in order to better teach my kids about the context of the Bible. I ended up reading through both books by myself and gaining so much perspective that I couldn't put it down. Excellent! Now, I am going through these books again, this time with the kids as planned, and they are quickly adding to their Bible knowledge. They are able to recognize honor and shame situations as well as covenant language. I was always told when reading the Bible to remember "context, context, context" these books really help me to apply that advice. The books are easy to read, with light hearted examples, and fun challenges to apply. Tyler Dawn is really giving children the tools they need to do their own studies and one day, perhaps sooner rather than later, to be the leaders in the church.

Need a Bible study for your kids that goes DEEP?! This book (and others in the series) are PERFECT. The author does a great job teaching kids about the cultural context of the Bible in a way they can understand. Perfect for family devotions or a Bible curriculum. The grown ups will learn just as much as the kids ;)

Amazing and truly life changing for my entire family! God used Ms.Tyler to give us a key to understanding the scriptures and taking our walk to a deeper level- revealing the missing Ancient Near Eastern perspective that's just not taught to us today.
