Simple Weaves: Over 30 Classic Patterns and Fresh New Styles

Have only used one draft so far, but love all the ideas in this book. I said I've only used one draft, but that draft had several variations and inspired a couple more - I'm currently weaving 7 different patterns from the single warp shown. I have been weaving for 2 1/2 years. Wish I'd had this book when I started.

Great ideas for weaving multiple patterns on one warp. Beautiful photos and clear instructions (no rigid heddle patterns). I would highly recommend this book for serious weavers.

I am a semi-beginning weaver, having been learning for a year or so now, and I enjoy getting books with projects, weave structures, ideas, and information to grow my library for when I have my own loom at home. This book is beautiful, for sure. I loved the cover - and the projects are nice looking too. I love the Scandinavian style and the actual projects are really pretty.That said, they are very simple and with a little creativity and imagination, you can plan out one of your own without this book. I had already ordered it when my instructor told me it was very simple. I enjoy looking through it for sure, but you can look at photos on the Internet which give ideas and inspiration for projects to do yourself.If you are pretty good at coming up with simple ideas on your own and planning out a project with weave structures and colors you have selected, then don't get this book. If you need help, need ideas or complete drafts and project patterns to get you going on projects, then this would be a great book for you!

This book has many good ideas, projects from the Swedish magazine Vav. Nice simple, mostly 4 harness. The projects show the nice clean Swedish design. I have found a lot of inspiration from these easily adaptable projects. This would be useful to both beginners and seasoned weavers.

Enjoy having it as a resource.

Sometimes simplicity is what you want when starting a new project. This book us perfect for that.

I really love this book. I'm still in the beginner spectrum and this has given me so many ideas. I love the format and the drafts are easy to read.

This book is for a weaver with only a little experience. It takes you through classic patterns like monks belt, rosepath in a clear way with lots of inspiring photos. Several of the patterns are for quite wide looms, 50”+, so you would have to adapt if you have something smaller. (These are blanket patterns, which you would have to make in panels, and seam).

Beautiful Swedish style weaves, uncomplicated, innovative, clean lines, stylish, timeless designs. Well written narrative and clear instructions that would suit any level of weaver.

Fantastic photography really sets of these classic weaves and makes you long to make all your household linen. A book to inspire but also easy to use with clear instructions.

A present - went down well

IF you know about reading European graphics, the look of the final product looks terrific. THe author is unreachable even through internet. THis book is recommend it for knowledgeable weavers.
