The Orvis Fly-Fishing Guide, Revised

Great book. Soooo much information to help all anglers.

This is one big heavy book. But that being said it covers most everything about fly fishing.

Great book. I love it.

I inherited a fly fishing setup, but had no idea how to use it or what all the flies were and when to use them. This book answered all of my questions. I'm still learning how to cast, but at least I have an idea of what to do with what I have.

The book itself is excellent in terms of content .. very well organized, great information and advice.. superb. My only complaint is its size; it’s just large (L x W) and heavy for a paperback. Difficult to hold while reading. My advice - either make it a hardcover, or reduce its footprint. That would obviously make it thicker, but at least it would be more manageable to hold while reading. Great book overall.

Advice for everything from selecting rod, reel, line, and setting them up. Good casting lessons with illustrations. Also fly suggestions.

For new or experienced fly fishers, this book is a good read for a refresher or for good tips. Complete guide from start to finish. I would highly recommend this book.

As a newly to fly fishing I was looking for a book to get me started. This was a great choice. It covered most of the bases in a readable style. After reading through it and watching some Orvis YouTube videos, I’m on my way.

Excellent book! If you fly fish or are thinking of getting into fly fishing, this book is a must. I'm more of an amateur fly fisherman and thought I knew a decent amount about the sport. I learned so much more from this book. It has so much valuable information on every thing to do with, and about fly fishing. Highly recommend.

Great book. Covered everything a beginner needs to know and is a great reference for the seasoned.

Great book. I can spend hours with it--and learn something every time I pick it up.

Very good quality of printing and illustrating photos. A book to have if you do fly fishing.
