Bought this thinking it would be better than the cheap one we already have but other been very unreliable.It froze and stoped working regularly so you have to remove the batteries to reset it.the sound has changed so its now super quiet and sort of muffled making it almost impossible to hear unless your stood next to it. This was also remedied by removing the batteries to reset.The seller sent out a replacement unit and I'm pleased to report that this one has been faultless, the first one must have just been a bad unit.Easy to use by spinning the outside of it, clear bright face thats adjustable in brightness as well as having volume adjustment as well.Overall I'm quite pleased with the outcome after having a bad unit replacement!

I had to edit my review as it didn't meet community guidelines, so I've taken off an additional star.The dial is too stiff to be able to turn it easily. You have to use two hands to overcome the resistance but there isn't really enough of the base available to grip so it's really difficult.Time will tell if it frees off and also how long it will last!When seeing the time, it jumps all over the place due to the stiff operation making it quite frustrating to get the exact time you want, instead ending up settling for something ball park.The display is bright however and the alarm loud enough and adjustable in volume.If you like well designed and made products that work nicely, buy something else.

I purchased this timer on an attempt to begin a digital detox and get away from reliability on my phone. And to practice becoming better at productivity (using the pomodoro time management technique). This timer in black looks very smart and sleek especially in contrast to any silver kitchen appliances - for example. . It's magnetic and the 'hidden' dial is a wonder to use. However I have already had to replace 3 AAA batteries in a short time (not supplied) and now noticing problems with the minutes and seconds no longer accurate e.g set a timer for 10mins using the dial, yet the seconds randomly set to a different value and I can't "nil" them. It's not a deal breaker but given the cost of this timer its longetivity is questionable... And there are much cheaper timers out there that can perform exactly the same function! (although admittedly do not look as smart)

I'm worried it might not hold up well over time with frequent battery changes.- A backlight feature would be a nice addition for those late-night cooking sessions when the kitchen lights are dim.

This is perfect for what I wanted.I wanted a small timer that I could use on my desk and this is simple and quick to use and even looks quite stylish.It seems reasonably loud, and just as loud as many cheap digital timers I have used in the kitchen (in my kitchen I have a more expensive timer - that is extremely loud and I can hear it from almost anywhere in the house).There are cheaper timers (mechanical) available, but I like this one as it is small, compact and stylish, and easy to set . . . and can be paused during the countdown if you wish.
