Sturdy cards
The cards are a bit large for small hands to shuffle, but they are very good quality. The included book is not really adequate, but there are plenty of other free sources online to fill it in. The coins also allow you to use the traditional coin toss method.

Amazing Kit..!!
I loved, it does have pretty much everything that I needed for a quick answer/question, either one card or the whole game. To be honest I bought just to look at it and returned, I didn't think was going to be very useful.......

Buy this because the I Ching isn't easy to understand
I have the cards ready for use. I use those coins in the background, per tradition. I'm using the box as a temporary pedestal so Buddha can watch over things and remind me not to get so into divination that I forget to let all effects follow from their causes. The only way we can avoid a Karmic fate we earned is for us to gain wisdom and apply to our lives and it helps if we give more to the Universe than we take from it. If I help a person divert their fate I'll take on their Karma.

No help with lines
It has the basic instructions, and coins to do it. The packaging is very nice, the cards are a little thin but not bad. They are bigger than standard playing cards. It's got all the hexagrams and a summary for each one. However, the descriptions are brief, and it doesn't address the lines hardly at all. The one page pictured from the booklet is all it says about lines. They could have fit that info on the cards, if they had wanted to. Instead they added a taijitu on every card and questions. This was disappointing. Much more of an interpretation than a translation.

GREAT PACKAGING. BUT NOTHING OF SUBSTANCE INSIDE
First of all, the Design work and overall packaging are first rate. No complaints there. Tastefully done! But anyone who has ever used the I Ching knows is that you get your hexagram by throwing yarrow sticks or in modern times Coins to build your hexagram from the bottom up. These six lines are actually two trigrams one stacked above the other and depending upon your different throws some of the lines will change from a masculine unbroken line to a feminine broken line and vice versa so READING those lines are the way the I Ching is describing how the first hexagram changes to the next one, what is the result and perhaps what to avoid.I thought that these lines were probably on the cards that were included but to my surprise it was just another airy repetition of the first hexagrams' meaning. I 'm looking through everything to get some substance. Finally I see a small paragraph saying basically "if y0u want a deeper (more complete) reading please look in the Wilhelm I CHING version which is the west one to buy if you want to actually use the I Ching as an Oracle/ Guide to give you some insight into your situation. This is like sitting down to read a book that is by your favorite author or going to a Restuarant and all you get is a condensed and rather airy, cryptic "short" version of your book or worse your whole meal , but still paying for the whole meal.
