Works great!
The media could not be loaded. Easy to use. If you have a blown head gasket, you almost don’t need to pump with the ball, the combustion gases will flow up through the test tube and the fluid. Solid blue means there’s no exhaust gases in the coolant system and bright yellow means there are. It’s very easy to tell. This helped me positively diagnose engine issues on several different cars.

Most reliable method to determine if head gasket leak
Head gasket leaks can sometimes be challenging to definitively confirm.the only thing worse than having a bad head gasket is replacing one only to discover you did not need to do so. This kit is well made and easy to use. Ideal for any mechanic or anyone who buys older cars. If the fluid turns color you definitely have a leak. BTW, the case is ideal for storing everything, definitely worth a few dollars more versus the one without the case.

Otherwise is worked great. Of course I've only used it once
I would give this a five star except for the fact that the bottom of the tube has a very slow leak on mine. Not sure if that's normal. I just used a rag to wipe it off. Otherwise is worked great. Of course I've only used it once.

I hope my engine isn't leaking.
I have been finding symptoms with my cooling system that pointed to a blown head gasket so I saw this tool in a video I watched and bought the same one.I tested my cooling system for leaks and found that my head gasket wasn't blown and I was very happy to know my engine was still sealed very well. This test was so easy all I had to do was fill the tube of the test kit with the blue fluid it came with and put it over my radiator cap and pump it.If the color changed it would have pointed to a blown head gasket.I was very happy to find it wasn't so I saved a lot of money I didn't have to spend on a job my truck didn't need. How nice is that?

Very useful thing.
Folks,Exercise caution with WHERE you place your fingers to press the aspirator bulb. If you press it in the middle of the aspirator bulb, as the car warms up, the coolant in the radiator will expand and rise up to the neck, and, eventually, with to much suction, will get into the test sample, and contaminate it.However, if you GENTLY press the very top of the aspirator bulb, where the metal ball is, it will only get the gas bubbles come through the catalist into the test tube, and not, the coolant with it. Just GENTLY squeeze the top, by the metal ball, with the frequency of, say, one/two squeezes in 3-5 seconds, then let it sit for some 10-20 seconds, and bubble its way up, then squeeze a couple of times again, and so on, and so forth. Do this whole thing for some 5-6 minutes, (provided you have warmed the car/truck to the operating temperature BEFORE you have started the test). (Also, do not be affraid to drain the coolant out of the radiator, until you can't see it through the radiator neck. It will save you some contamination frustration, and having to do the de-contamination procedure several times, before you get the test done right.)The fluid will start turning first greenish-blue, then, green and greener, (by that time, it is preety obvious that there is something in there), and then, will gradually move into the brownish-yellow shade. I stopped at the point when it was light greenish color, for there was a pretty obvious difference with the blue bottle next to it. Clearly, something is happening inside the engine. One more thing,BE CAREFUL when you pull out the glass tube after you have finished the test. If you pull it out right away, when the engine is hot, you'll get a fountain of scolding coolant blasting out of the neck of the radiator.Believe me, it is NOT awesome!Let it cool off for 10-20 minutes, or put a thick old beach towel around the radiator neck, and wear thick gloves, THEN try to pull the glass tube out.Best things...

Best Value Test For Head Gasket Leak_Fast & Easy Diagnostic
Saw Scotty Kilmer and Eric O. from South Main Auto on YouTube using these blue fluid block testers and I finally had a car that had what I thought was a blown head gasket. This block tester verified in less than 5 mins that my liquid Steel Seal head gasket repair worked (also used on at least 2 Scotty Kilmer videos). This block tester is so simple and fast to use--I love it, genius!

The Most Important Tool You'll Ever Own!!!
There is no way anyone should buy a used vehicle without one! So far I was able to skip 4 vehicles that had combustible gases and find out that my current mechanic is a crook. I've had it for only 2 days! Even if youre selling your car this tool will allow to get the highest price for your vehicle. It pays for itself amongst the first use! You'd be silly to buy the maddox one from harbor freight because they carry block tester fluid from this company, and it doesn't fit in the case. Also the other fluids are very pale and are really hard to analyze.Anything else is inferior although I will admit the double chamber version is kinda cool because the fluid can't be contaminated since radiator fluid can never reach the top tier. All in all this may be the most important purchase I've ever made in my life! Excellent!

Helped me find the problem!
This product is not a end all solution but If you take if for what it’s worth it really works well. It helped me identify a blown EGR cooler on the dreaded 6.0 powerstroke. Vs taking the whole thing apart to determine if it was head gaskets of EGR cooler!
