Paired with a good charger...totally beat out alkalines!
We have dozens of toys that run on batteries. Paired with my XTAR 8-slot charger, I no longer have to wonder, "Is this toy out of batteries or genuinely broken/ready to be thrown out?" Or, "This battery I just found in our 'good battery' cabinet, is it REALLY good?" Now I know for sure! Total game change in batteries. But you MUST get a good charger. Oh yes, and they are a smidge big for AAAs, so they get a bit jammed and damaged accordingly getting them in and out. And they don't deliver exactly the same voltage, so things vibrate a bit slower or sound a bit lower. But it's nothing to worry about.

Pay the extra. Go with the known brand
Perfect! Rechargeables I think I might have to prefer these over Energizer rechargeables

Very Disappointing from Duracell
I am a big fan of rechargeable stuff. After reading the raving marketing material of other brands rechargeable batteries on their power, longevity of holding a charge and could take 1,000s of recharges, I invested in a complete set of AAA and AA rechargeable batteries for everything in my home. I then diligently changed out each control as their one-use batteries got tired with the rechargeables. It wasn't long before I realized I had been sold a bill of goods. Example: One-time use batteries in wall clocks would run 1 to 2 years, only 4 to 6 months tops with rechargeables. ...and on it went with everything from remotes to a wireless mouse. So after a bit of this and finding that Duracell (a so called "trusted name in batteries") also had them, I decided that perhaps I went too cheap with the other brands and so I bought Duracell. My disappointment came quickly. No difference in longevity. My conclusion is, moving to rechargeables will probably not save you money (especially with Duracells) and will require to change your batteries more often. However, so long as you do not put them in something that is hard to get to, they are more convenient than going to the store every time you run out of batteries.
