The food shortage that is currently getting started prompted me to increase my food storage. One of the things I did was stock up on cheese.The best way to store cheese is dipping it in wax then keeping it in a cool, dry place. I've had some cheese there for 6 months so far and they're in excellent shape. I have enough to last another 18 months if I couldn't get any and because what I have is waxed, it WILL last that long... and be better cheese at the end of that time than when I bought it. When you can turn cheap Walmart mild cheddar into something good, it's worth it.AND I can reuse the wax. All I have to do is wash the cheese oil off the wax scraps (soap and cold water) and toss them into the melting pot the next time I need to wax some cheese.Definitely worth the investment.

I waxed some Colby jack cheese and used some the other day and it is perfect and has been sitting on my counter

I received some extra cheese. Like ALOT of cheese. I needed to save them before they all got moldy and straight to the trash bin. So, I looked up ways to conserve cheese for long-term storage and came across this product. This product was a little difficult to use, and the melting process was quite messy. I also don't think I had the proper storage room for the waxed cheese. This turned out to be a failed endeavor. I'm sure this would be benefical for someone who is experienced and knows what they are doing.

Love it ,but would be nice if it came with instructions on how to use it.
