I found this to be one of the most useless books I have ever read!Here's a summary... If you have enough water flow, you can power your home... That's pretty much what you will get from this book.Save your money!The book, which is really more like a pamphlet, does not teach you any specific knowledge about hydro systems. It's more like an introduction to what a hydro system is on a basic level. I'm very disappointed!I wish I could return it, but I creased the pages on accident. Too bad.

This is more of a 29 page informational brochure covering the concepts of large scale micro hydro systems than a practical guide. There are many more useful books on amazon.

Trying to figure out how to build a hydroelectric system because I was thinking about adding one to a waterway and analyzing cost to determine whether expenditure may realize adequate output.

This actually seems that it might be an OK book, giving more a descriptive overview of micro-hydro systems and not the specific things to look for. I have a Kindle Paperwhite and it would seem that at times a sentence is in mid-sentence, then there are a couple of blank pages and a new paragraph starts. I suspect that that is some sort of a conversion issue that has hidden a significant portion of the text. It does impact the usefulness of book.

NOT WORTH THE PAPER IT'S PRINTED ON. A pretentious rip-off. The author thinks he can give advice to others but knows nothing of his subject, and gives no information AT ALL that is any use in either planning or installing your own system. In fact he advises the reader to employ a contractor to do it all for him/her.I have never seen a worse book (just a few that are just as bad). It reads like a sales brochure for a supplier who thinks you are gullible and ignorant, and will be easily taken in and ripped off. By the way, I am author of a somewhat technical and very informative book published in USA, so I know what I am talking about. DO NOT buy Andy Anderson's book.***Buy 'MOTORS AS GENERATORS' by NIGEL SMITH and/or other substantial informative and authoritative books.Eric Franklin

I never expected a 'book' to be as little as 32 pages. I would never have bought this short uninformative note, had I realized this was only a teaser. Certainly not worth 9 cents, never mind $4.99. Missing critical info even in areas covered then ends up recommending using a professional, hardly the DIY manual it pretends to be. I want my money back.
