Great Brace
I bought the large for my giant breed, just for some extra support when she’s playing hard. Fits great, stays in place through dog wrestling matches and best of all she seems to be comfortable with it. Highly recommend

Does exactly what it's designed for
I waited a while before reviewing to make sure it would work, and hold out on such a tough job. (Before leaving comments - Lady is a rescue from a meth house that was using her for a puppy-mill to pay for more drugs. She, along with several other mastiffs were rescued. She and her brother came to our house. We didn't do this to her. We didn't get her and her brother from a breeder. And we don't breed her. We are merely here to make the rescues as comfortable as possible for as long as possible.) Lady has one particularly bad joint that she takes several meds for and they do help with the pain, but not with her leg slipping under while she walks. Her leg was getting worse and we were getting nervous she would have to be put down just because of the one joint (her brother had to be put down early because of severely bad hips that wouldn't hold him any longer.) When we go on walks, her hind leg would slip under her due to weakness, and often times she would fall on her keester. I found this brace - one of the few big enough for her swollen joint and that didn't cost $100's (if I'm not sure it's going to work, I don't want to pay that much). This is definitely doing the trick! Lady is 160 lbs and is now 8'sh. (Mastiff's usually range between 7-9 years.) Mind you it's not stiff, so it won't straighten out the slightly curved in joint/leg, or help with the swollen joint, but the slipping has definitely gotten better - which keeps her walking - which keeps her healthy - which keeps her with us. She can even run a bit with it without tripping on her back leg! I was happy to see her run again. She isn't afraid of the stairs anymore either (we try to keep her off the stairs as much as possible though). I definitely recommend this. If needed, we will purchase more for future rescues. For the price, it's definitely worth it. My only issue is, this was the biggest size and for one of the straps, it's barely hanging on. But, that comes with having a mastiff. And a mastiff with swollen joints. (This probably wouldn't have fit her 200 lbs brother.) The velcro is holding out with daily use, and when she walks through tall grasses and sage. I haven't noticed it getting funky, which is good. She doesn't mind it on her leg and it doesn't rub her raw (which I was worried about). When I say walk, she'll wait to have it put on. Some people were wondering how tight to make it. I just lay it against her and then push the velcro into itself. I don't pull on the velcro to make it tighter and you wouldn't want it slipping around either (or it would rub). Just tight enough to stay put and not slide around. It says it's for support - that's exactly what it does. Don't expect it to do more. Very pleased!

Cheaply made
Was a good idea and lasted a day when I needed to protect a would on my dogs leg I wish it would have worked longer because it was great while it lasted. I can’t see this item being helpful to give any type of support to a pets leg at all because it was very flimsy and cheap- not at all worth the price and definitely not a brace I will say the Velcro straps were long and stretchy which was good for the use I was trying to achieve. It was just too flimsy to last The pictures make it look better than it actually is fyi

My boy can run!
Not as sturdy as it looks in the picture, but it is helping my boys back hock. The Velcro holds pretty well but it slips a lot at the top. I have to readjust it pretty often. Over all, by big man is actually able to run again!!!

Great quality
Great quality and worth the money! It is very supportive and durable! Easy to put on, it slips sometimes but for the most part does the job well! I love the get well soon card that got sent with for my dog! How thoughtful!

Disappointing product and customer service
My dog sustained a rear hock injury for which my vet recommended purchasing a brace. Researched braces on line and here on Amazon and decided on Labra Extra Supportive brace based upon the company's description of the brace and some glowing reviews of the company's customer service. I carefully measured the dog prior to order. The brace is a light weight nylon (no padding) with adjustable velcro straps, which probably provides some light support but not what I would consider "extra supportive". However figured something was better than nothing, but unfortunately the brace (despite being the correct size) within about 4 days of off and on use rubbed a significant wound on the top of my dog's hock. I contacted Labra's customer service via email to see if they might advise on how to pad the brace to stop the rubbing. Noah the owner replied within two days, indicating that I should stop any use of the brace and he would send me a different type of brace that had a larger hock opening and more adjustability to try out free of charge. Noah wrote the new brace would be sent asap. Have to say at that moment I was pretty impressed by the care and responsiveness of the company! However, a month later and the replacement brace has never arrived and Labra (Noah) is not responding to follow up emails. I have to admit that I have been duped and that my dog's recovery from his injury has been significantly delayed waiting on this company. Don't make the same mistake with your dog!

Great fit and good quality.
Fits great. Bought extra large for my lab. I needed it to cover part of his paw so I went bigger than I normally do. It fits exactly like I need it to. If you don’t need it to cover the paw and you have a lab, you probably need to go for a large. It is padded! It feels very comfortable. Nicely made. Very easy to put on. Great quality.

This works just fine, for the price it’s everything I would expect and hope for. It gives some extra support, a helping hand to keep the leg supported. I bought a large and I have an almost full grown GSD and it fits just fine. My GSD has an injured ACL and without this attached he limps very badly, when I attach this support he clearly walks with more confidence. It allows some movement to assist when walking but also enough support to give that extra helping hand. I would recommend to anyone with elderly dogs that need that extra support or minor injury’s to help assist recovery.

I'm sure it would be 5 star on a dog with thicker legs. Our dog has long slim hind legs, so we are constantly adjusting it as it slides down whilst walking.
