FINALLY A HEALTHY (COMPLETE PROTEIN), ALLERGEN FREE ON THE GO, SNACK/BREAKFAST ITEM FOR MY ALLERGIC TO THE WORLD TODDLER
FINALLY A HEALTHY (COMPLETE PROTEIN), ALLERGEN FREE ON THE GO, TODDLER FRIENDLY SNACK/BREAKFAST ITEM FOR MY ALLERGIC TO THE WORLD TODDLER!TASTE:The non-sugar option tastes just like you would expect an only quinoa cereal to taste (light earthy/grain taste) but my little loved it just by itself, so I didn’t even bother with the sugar one though my husband loves the slightly sweetened one (seriously very low, unrefined, sugar) and so do I!They have other flavors but my little has very little safe foods so we could only do the quinoa or slightly sweetened quinoa option. If you get the non organic, you will also see it has vit E in it. I have inquired directly from the manufacturer and it is sourced from sunflower but the organic version has removed the Vit E. Other than that, all that AMAZING nutrition you see on the panel is alllllll from only the quinoa! No additives, dyes, NOTHING!EXTRA INFO ABOUT MANUFACTURING PRACTICES:I know some may need this info so I took the time to inquire, again, directly with them (customer service is AMAZING!):QQ products and lines are Gluten, Dairy, Nut, Peanut, Soy, Egg and Shellfish free. The production lines are also shared with productions with corn and rice. However, cleaning processes before manufacturing any QQ products are very strict. First of all grains are stored in different locations. Then we have a high temperature, high pressure three step process that takes approximately 2 days. Then before machinery lines are released for QQ production they must be swab for presence of proteins. Those tests are done externally and internally. All our products are 100% quinoa. We manufacture in a soy free facility since May. Any product with expiration date after March 2018 has been manufactured in a 100% soy free factory. You may still see the warning especially on the snack size bags because we are still transitioning some packaging, but I can guarantee you that the factory does not produce any product or uses any cleaner containing soy. We used to clean the lines with soy seeds and we have successfully replace them with Chia seeds. All QQ products are of course 100 % Quinoa. Please let me know if you have any other questions. We are Kosher certified and our Organic line has USDA and European Organic certifications.

Original, Lightly Sweetened and Organic are all different, but all great
I have tried 3 different kinds of this cereal and I have to say, I was pleasently suprised! I bought the original and lightly sweetened first because I was afraid the taste would be awful (as warned by other reviewers). However, if you are used to eating pretty healthy (my son has food allergies), the taste is pretty decent! It tastes like quinoa. I thought it would be bitter, but it definitely tastes like they rinse the quinoa well before baking. The lightly sweetened version was just that. Quinoa with sugar. My anti health foods mom really didn't like the cereal at first, but after trying it the second time, she said it wasn't so bad. It's definitely the kind of taste that grows on you. I then ordered the organic in bulk because I figured why not have organic for the same price as original. It turns out they are all slightly different. I'll list how below. Side note - I eat this cereal as a dry snack and can not speak for how any of them do in liquid.Original is very crunchy (more so than Cheerios) with a strong quinoa taste. The Os are small, but I'd say close to Cheerio size. My toddler likes these.Lightly Sweetened is very crunchy with a hint of sugar. The Os were larger and these were my person favorite.Organic is less crunchy and has more of the texture of firm styrofoam than ground quinoa. This really suprised me since the other kinds had the same texture. I also thought the quinoa flavor was a little less strong. That being said, these aren't bad and quite addictive. My toddler eats them by the handful. I think the texture may be perfect for him. Not so crunchy that they are difficult to eat, but crunchy enough to provide resistance for teething gums.Overall, I am super impressed and very thankful for not only a food I can feed my child without guilt, but a food I don't have to worry about him having an allergy to. Thank you, Quinoa Queens!

Truly the Queen of Quinoa!!!
This is a high quality product, and best of all, it's certifiably 100% Quinoa! It's not Quinoa mixed with Rice flour, it's not Quinoa mixed with Wheat Flour, and important for diabetics, it's not Quinoa mixed with Potato Flour. I think it's one of the most unique products available in the market as it's 100% Quinoa based! This is really a big deal, because most other Quinoa based products that I've purchased before tend to be blends of Quinoa Flour and other flours. Imagine a Mission Impossible movie advertising itself as a Tom Cruise Movie, but in reality, it has a bunch of other actors in it, and there's only a picture of Tom Cruise hanging on a portrait by the stairs. Not the same thing, right? Products that are Quinoa blends are like that Mission Impossible movie with nary a glimpse of Tom Cruise. Quinoa Queen products on the other hand are guaranteed to have plenty of what the audience is hoping for. Quinoa Queen is pretty much the real deal, and I love that feature about these unique products.I've already tried both flavors, and they are Über delicious. I think they taste a lot better than Cheerios, and in fact, are healthier than Cheerios! A splash of milk on them, and a bit of honey for the unsweetened ones makes them taste delicious - the lightly sweetened ones are delicious as is! The unsweetened flavor would be fantastic for anyone who is either diabetic or pre-diabetic; for others though, the lightly sweetened flavor is probably the better buy.So, anyhow I quite enjoyed Quinoa Queen's cereal, and am looking forward to trying more products from them! Please do give these products a try - I'm confident many people will enjoy this healthy cereal!
