Mom loves it. Comfy for its thinner profile.
Mom loves this pad. While a thicker one might be more comfortable (especially for long spells sitting in the chair), this one is easier to deal with when folding up the wheelchair and hauling it around in the car, etc. Plus it doesn't boost her so high that she feels imbalanced in her wheelchair. She asked me to get one for her dining room chair too - while this thing fits beautifully in her wheelchair, it is a good bit too wide and deep for our dining room chairs!Functional details:The cover zips off pretty easily, and I've washed it in our front loading washer with no damage. I hosed off the closed-cell foam pad in the bathtub. Air-dried both. It does NOT have a strap on the back to hold it onto a chair. It DOES however have a somewhat grippy vinyl material as the bottom, as well as two large sections of Velcro(tm) (or some other hook-n-loop fastener) on the bottom. It's the soft/furry side. So if you really had a problem with it sliding off/around on a chair, you could easily attach the hard/hook side of some Velcro to wherever you're using this.

Wrong Cover
Cover is NOT as described and not as pictured! Seat is vinyl, NOT polyester knit; bottom is NOT anti-slip---dangerous transferring to and from a wheelchair with this cushion! There were also ties on cushion I received; can't be returned but I did get a refund from Amazon. Product 14880 on Drive website has description which matches what I received; however, the Amazon description describes an altogether different cover which is what I wanted but didn't get.

Much comfier than what I had before
I bought a new cushion to go with the new wheelchair I'd gotten, plus the cushion on the old wheelchair was just basic foam rubber; and after a few hours of sitting on it, it caused my lower back to ache. I like that this seat cushion is contoured so that it's slightly higher in the back, there's an area for your butt and it's contoured/sloped where your legs go. It's a nice dense memory type foam and overall is more comfortable than the regular foam. However, I did get a backache after several hours with this cushion as well. I have a lot of degeneration in my lower back, so the backache is probably being caused by staying in the same position for an extended period and that'll be something I'll have to deal with. Still, this cushion is a huge improvement in comfort over the previous one and I'm glad I got it.If you're in the market for a new wheelchair, Amazon has a great one at a very reasonable price. Useful after alteration but falls short of a great pad
Received the pad and found it to be contoured well on top, but overall the foam was too thick and stiff. I am using it on my powered Go Go Elite Scooter seat, and on my three wheel Terra Trike seat to soften the ride because my trike has no suspension. But it was too thick for either application, so I altered it.Took the foam out of the cover off and carefully cut the pad with a long serrated bread knife. Cut off a good 5/8" of the foam from the bottom like a slice of bread for a softer thinner and more bendable seat cushion. I then cut that cut off in half and I am using that piece in the rear of the cushion to bring the back up on my scooter seat. While the cover was off I took it to a seamstress and had her add elastic straps with a buckles in each direction so it can be secured to both my scooter seat and my trike seat. Works great now but not as purchased. The cushion as purchased is too thick, high and stiff. The alterations worked out great for both applications. But it may not work for you either as purchased.

Lasted two years
I'm not sure how long cushions should last but this one is coming apart at the seams after two years.

and comfortable support for the wheelchair
This stable support cushion provides durable, firm, and comfortable support for the wheelchair, even though years later (I've had mine for three years). Lumbar support is sooo important as we age, especially when sitting for long periods of time, and I have discovered that more now that I have some bad lumbar discs and facet joints. This is essential for preserving the strength and posture of our backs, as well as our health and good comfort! It is made of quality material and has a sturdy strap to attach it to the back of the seat. I cannot sit long in my chair without it or my back knows it and begins to remind me!
