I have a crustal ball that i set this on and the color is amazing

Years ago I purchased a "Color-Changing LED potion" from Thinkgeek - which no longer exists (See attached picture). I kept it on all day every day as a fun thing to look at. A while ago the red LED went out and was bummed that I couldn't get red, or any variants of the color anymore. So I went searching for some other color-changing LED base. I came across this product and decided to give it a try. I've been using it for a little while now - all day every day- and it's been working great as a color changing base, red color and all.If someone held a gun to my head and said I had to provide constructive feedback about the product, I'd probably say:- It's a little brighter than I'm used to. I'm sure for some people it's fine, and a nice bright night light. Just for me I wish it was a little dimmer, or had a way to dim it.- It shows the color white fairly often. Seems like it goes Red,Blue,White,Green,Purple,White, etc. Wish it would go through all the colors of the rainbow, including white once, then repeat. I don't think I've ever seen a white potion in fantasy, so it throws me off when I see it. (I'll have to think of what a white potion would do I guess)

I was given something like this a long time ago (long enough ago so that it had a regular plug with a small "brick" transformer. This was easy (though you DO need the USB adapter.. There are not real directions; it is trial by pressing the control. The quick change does NOT seem to cycle though the red/purple but I use the slower one which does and the colors are nice. Easy solution (I did NOT want one that rotates... I have a large, heavy glass ball that is filled with tiny air bubbles).

First, I like that this has the option of using regular batteries OR the USB cord. My first one had only the USB and it looked unsightly. But even more importantly, this one has way more settings - you can set it to one color (or white) or have it cycle through. Which it does in a slow, gentle series - my first one flashed through colours so fast I thought I was in a disco! I bought this to set off a gorgeous blown glass sculpture I bought in Murano, so I wanted it to look classy. This works. If I could change one thing it would be to have the base look like natural wood, as my first one did.
