Works great on CISCO 7940 IP Phone
I'm using this to power a CISCO 7940 IP Phone. It works great, and came with both the power supply brick, and a three prong cord to connect it to the wall outlet.EDIT 06-OCT-2013:I've had this for 3-1/2 years. Recent items under this title must be cheap knockoffs. My item in 2010 was the real deal and is still working great.

it works fine for my Cisco 7962
While it's not an original power supply, it works fine for my Cisco 7962. Also doesn't get near as hot as the official cisco power brick my other 7962 has.

Works without problems on the Cisco 7941 phone I needed it for. Reasonable build quality, does not "feel" to be the same quality as the Cisco units i have used in the past, FWIW.

OK, but wrong power cord on one....
These power supplies are what you should come to expect nowadays in a typical cheaper Chinese made knockoff. They're OK. The only issue I had was that one of the power supplies came with a power cord for some eastern European country, and I'm in the USA. Luckily the cords are the standard type that you use with computers and most pro network equipment, so I had a spare lying about... Only had the supplies for a few days so I can't mention yet reliability. They are working fine so far to power Cisco "side car" phone expansion modules. (7215).

This adapter will not work with a Cisco 7940 or ...
This adapter will not work with a Cisco 7940 or 7960 Phone. The plug is the correct size, but won't go in far enough because of the external plastic. They do work for the 7942 & 7962 phones. No heat related issues with the power brick.

BEWARE: NOT a Cisco product
I ordered this product expecting to receive Cisco product #CP-PWR-CUBE-3. The photos and description both indicated that this was a Cisco-branded product. What I received was a plain white box labelled "Cisco CP-PWR-CUBE-3 Compatible Power Supply New," and containing a generic Chinese knockoff. Considering that I paid the same price as I would to purchase the genuine product from an authorized Cisco vendor, I feel particularly misled.
