I have watched it again and again and still feel the same as the first time I watched it and reviewed it. I loved this movie and I hate Army based movies. My Husband LOVES Army Based movies. So we decided to watch this one . I felt this movie would be a good one to watch because Mel Gibson did create Passion of the Christ and I loved that Movie and yes I am a Christian and have no problem telling that. Denying that would make me feel like I don't have faith in my Lord. But my husband just loves war movies. That said to the person that said the thing about this movie.... This movie doesn't have to have perfect reenactments as long as the #1 main part of the movie is about the person and what he was about. Which it showed,a man that believed in his purpose of standing up for his belief and the truth of the Lord. #The main people that was around the main character which was Desmond Doss was correct. It showed how those that should be there to support him weren't but then saw their faults afterwards. Then also it shows his strengths in combat even without a weapon. His weapons were ,The Lord,his own mind,his strength in being able to handle pushing on for a greater purpose than his own. The lives he saved when NO one else stayed to save them and gave up but he didn't. It showed his courage in even giving his own life by putting himself in danger ,over and over and over again. He never gave up and the Lord was there with him through it all.He asked the Lord for only one thing..."Just give me one more" Meaning one more life to save,one more ounce of strength to bring them to safety, One more day for another soldier to live. It showed me that" I can do all things through him who gives me strength"Philippians 4:13 Yes I pulled that card out. The Lord watches over you and me. He doesn't love one person more than another.Even Peter said, "I really am learning that God doesn't show partiality to one group of people over another" This movie portrays how the Lord works through us and also shows how we are to be so loyal to him in return to receive that asst or another word would be Love. Meaning show love and I will show you love. In scripture the Father God shows us by this verse and this one alone is the all meaning of life.... John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that everyone who believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. This movie shows the Lord and is what the Lord wants us to see even if through a man like Mel Gibson. The Lord works in mysterious ways. Show passion and courage even under so many trials and he will reward you in heaven and on earth. Trust in him and believe so you can receive and be Blessed with the rewards that pour out for us from heaven. Yes movies are gory and violent. But even in the Bible it shows us life shouldn't be covered up just because you can't handle seeing a little blood. Life isn't easy and can bring the best of men or women to their knees. When Mel makes movies he doesn't hold back. He lets you see how it felt ,how it looked,he gave you a glimpse into that very moment and let you feel even by visual what it was truly like what it truly felt. You know you cringe and almost could feel that very blade moving through the layers of flesh or the bullet ripping the flesh. The hit of a man's pride even with a man being naked before many. It shows all that yes. So if you didn't like it? Then why did you watch it? You knew it would have added things that might not been in the man's real life. The real man was old and gray and now dead. So yes he would have to add something here and there. But honestly... in reality that added effect or moment is usually how it is in real life too. Be honest and think on that next time when deciding to do a review. I am not into gore and hate scary movies and I give this "reality check" movie and true thumbs up. Great movie ,has gore,has a believer of Christ in it,has will to survive ,Has strength,Loyalty,true heroism for his country and his fellow man,action,on the edge of your seat moments,understanding of what war really is without sugar coating it,LOVE. In it also respect of another human being. He even tried to save those that were trying to kill him. How can this movie be less than 5 stars? You couldn't do any better (towards the person that gave 1 star and a bad review). Suck it up buttercup. Even the best knots aren't tied up perfect like they should be to save your life. Sometimes it is the worst made knots. (watch the movie to understand that meaning. If I could give this movie more stars I would have given it 100%+ . That's all.. Now go buy the movie or rent it or whatever. Great movie you are missing out on if you don't. Review: AN INSPIRING TRUE WW II STORY THAT IS WORTHY OF PRAISE AND ADMIRATION - Get ready for an amazing surprise and a very different (and true) World War II story. Desmond Doss (a fantastic Andrew Garfield) lives in rural Virginia with his brother, mother and abusive father. The story is slow moving but sweet as Desmond deals with his father's demons and as he finds love with a beautiful nurse named Dorothy (Teresa Palmer). When World War II starts, both Desmond and his brother enlist eager to serve their country. Desmond enlists with one caveat--not only will he not kill anyone, he won't even pick up a gun in training. Needless to say, even though he enlisted as a conscientious objector, he faces the wrath of the Army for not following orders to train with a rifle. The story slowly weaves its tale from his home to training camp. Desmond is eager to do his duty but as a medic and without a gun. Although seen as a coward, he proves to be the bravest soldier of them all. Get ready for the action and the surprise as we are thrown into the horrors of war. In one of the most deadly and decisive battles of the war, American soldiers fight for control on Okinawa from the Japanese. The Japanese take no prisoners and will fit to the very end. It's a bloody and hopeless battle and HACKSAW RIDGE shows it all. It's brutal in its realism but the story deserves to be told as Desmond miraculously saves 75 wounded soldiers from certain death. HACKSAW RIDGE tells a truly incredible and inspiring story. A "coward" becomes the first conscientious objector to win the Congressional Medal of Honor and the award was well deserved. Although he has a tragically abusive father (a former soldier who never dealt with the horrors of WWI), Desmond's life is fairly simple and carefree. He finds love, enlists and deals with the taunts of his fellow trainees for refusing to follow any order involving the touching or using of a gun. How this story shifts to battle is amazing. It's a long journey to the epic battle and the scenes are brutally real. HACKSAW RIDGE is among one of the finest World War II stories of recent years and deserves to be appreciated and praised. Vince Vaughn is uncharacteristically tough as the tough but caring Sergeant Howell. Andrew Garfield is the real charmer here is Andrew Garfield as Desmond. Garfield gives life and believability to Desmond and his warm, delightful smile will win over everyone's hearts. Be sure to wait for the credits and see clips of the real Desmond and Dorothy Doss and interviews with a few of the soldiers he saved that fateful day. It is one amazing story.

The best made war movie I have ever watch....(not a fan of war movies either)

日本では4K UHDの発売がなかったので、アメリカ版UHDを購入しました。 全てのシーンではないですが、ブルーレイより鮮やかに映るシーンも多々ありました。炎のシークエンスなどは4K UHDの恩恵を特に感じられます。戦闘シーンなどの空気感もより伝わってくるような気がしました。

El director Mel Gibson esta de vuelta despues de 10 años de ausencia con una gran pelicula de guerra. El hecho de que la pelicula tenga un tema espiritual en el marco de la Segunda Guerra Mundial hace que Gibson, un catolico de hueso colorado, sea el unico director que hubiere sido capaz de traer la historia a la pantalla sin caer en sensacionalismos. Gran dirección de Gibson. Gran actuación de Andrew Garfield, si bien es cierto pienso que La La Land era una mejor pelicula, a la fecha estoy convencido de que Mel Gibson debio de llevarse el Oscar de Mejor Director, pero bueno sabiamos que dados sus antecedentes eso no iba a pasar. Nota: Para los coleccionistas de slipcovers a la fecha de la publicación (13/06/17) Amazon todavia me envio una copia de la versión 4K con slipcover, para que lo tengan en cuenta al ordenar.

O produto veio com o estojo quebrado, fiquei decepcionada com a entrega! Os cds por outro lado vieram sem riscos, não estavam soltos no estojo e rodaram bem no player! Mas uma pena o estojo ter vindo quebrado, pq é dificil de comprar aqui no Brasil.
