Absolutely essential if you love your back
Carrying a heavy shotgun for hours on end is no longer as fun as it used to be. And it never was fun to begin with. After a long day out, I remember the back and shoulder pain; not to mention the fatigue in my arms. Thank God, with Ready Rest this is no more. This sits comfortably to my side and is ready to be deployed. No more back pain, no more shoulder pain, and my arms are always well rested thus helping me shoot better. As a bonus, the gun is always stowed in a safe position and I’m never flashing my partners or dog when out on the field. Excellent product and highly recommended.

It’s great for upland hunting
I bought this specifically for upland hunting. It’s very helpful in reducing strain from carrying a shotgun while walking large fields. It doesn’t get in the way, and it doesn’t impede the ability to quickly shoulder if needed. Only thing that could make it better is if the strap was a little less wide.

I bought a ReadyRest and now I can’t imagine not having one, it is awesome! I bought it before I went on a pheasant hunt and I was able to rest my shotgun in the ReadyRest while walking. I had no problem at all getting the gun to my shoulder, it was as easy as holding it the old fashion way. All the friends I went hunting with that week fell in love with it.I can't wait to use it skeet and trap shooting!!

Great idea
This is great for upland bird hunting. You can hold your firearm upright in a safe manner and still be ready to shoot quickly.

Much needed utility
I’ve never realized how much I would enjoy having a means to have an assisted carry method for my gun. ReadyRest makes it easy to carry around my gun for long periods of time. It is perfect for anybody who is walking the fields for grouse or pheasants. Gun stays in the “ready” position so you’re ready when that next bird flushes. Great for trap waiting your turn on the line or walking the sporting clays course. I love it!

It's just what I need for a long day of hunting. With Banged up shoulders it the best thing.

So close
I had never thought about a shotgun rest when upland hunting but I liked the idea when it popped up on Amazon. It made walking the fields much easier. Gun stayed on the rest without any issue even when walking through 7' water grass. It didn't interfere with shouldering quickly and easily. My only complaints are that as I was walking and my gun would angle forward slightly, it would push the rest toward my back and I would have to adjust it a 2-3 times each field. It wouldn't do that if I tightened it to ride higher but then my strap vest was in the way. Great concept, just needs a belt loop clip or something to prevent it from pushing back.

Excellent product!
This sling is super useful and solves the problem of getting tired of holding a semiauto after 3 or 4 rounds of trap. The shotgun can rest and is always pointing in a safe direction. Great for upland bird hunting. Made from quality materials, solid rest that doesn’t bend and a beautiful finish. I got the khaki color and I highly recommend it!
