Waterproof Tape

Very thick, very clear, very sticky. I don't understand how some reviews said it was thin. Be careful when you open it... I took off the colorful outer layer, but then also took off a layer of clear film, which is actually the film protecting the stickiness. I wasted about a foot. Seems like a good deal for how much you get! I used this to repair a lawn furniture cover and plan to use it on some cracked vinyl boat cushions.

I bought this to patch a split in my in ground pool liner. The liner is 11 years old and will be replaced when I open the pool next spring, but I didn't want water to get behind it. I bought this very heavy clear waterproof tape to keep the split from spreading further. When I opened the package, the edges of the tape felt like mouse trap glue - it was that sticky. The tape is very heavy vinyl (I ordered clear), with a peel off clear plastic film over the adhesive side. It was very easy for me to unroll some and cut it to the correct length, peel off the plastic film, and apply it over the split in the pool wall. The tape sticks very well and you can't even see it. Time will tell if it yellows, but it should get me through the winter. If it holds up well enough, I may be able to delay replacing the liner for a year! Good stuff!

Like someone else said, when I got tis stuff the adhesive had run all over the place in the sealed package and adhesive was all over the place. I would have returned it, but I needed it for an emergency repair and dealt with it anyway. A sticky, almost unusable mess!! Have you ever seen the Little Rascals episode where Buckwheat gets stuck on flypaper and can't get it off? That's what handling this stuff is like. I had to wear vinyl gloves to handle it and the utility knife that I cut it with got loaded with goo. The end was impossible to find, so I just cut into the first layer and made an end myself. Getting the cellophane backing off was a disaster and when I did get it to start, a section of it split up the middle just like a cheap roll of masking or duct tape does. I finally got it applied on the thing I was repairing, (the front air dam trim on my van.) Fortunately, the goo can be cleaned up with mineral spirits so I was able to clean my hands that got gooed before I put on the vinyl gloves, as well as able to clean my utility knife. A disaster and I have my doubts that my repair job will hold. Threw it in the trash. I've had way better success with Flexseal tape. UPDATE. A day after I applied this garbage it was already falling off the air dam trim and hanging down. Is it possible to give a negative rating? If so, I rate it a -10.

This is heavy duty tape. I used it on the underside of my wood hatch covers on my kayak to help get a better seal against the gasket. It works super sonic good. Two things to consider: 1. once this tape is on, it is not coming off. 2. The adhesive does migrate a little to the edge of the tape after a couple of months. No big deal to me, but you might have to clean it with solvent or sprinkle talcum powder on it.

I only needed a six inch piece but it worked like a charm on a canvas spa cover. Note the edge of the tape roll is kinda sticky so you will want to keep it covered in plastic or something.

Didn’t seem to want to stick where I put it. Disappointed.

my rear window was shattered with rock from lawn mower this is on 2014 Cadillac dts and no window in usa. so I covered it with this tape and no leaks car works fine and window will not fall apart love the car and drive it every day thanks for a very good waterproof tape Frank

Fantastic tape! I recently hit a deer on the way to work, which shattered my passenger side window and destroyed my mirror. I tried going to a local store to try and find something that I could use to temporarily repair the window while I waited for a new one, but couldn't find anything that would stand up to the elements. So I went to Amazon and searched for strong waterproof tape, and this popped up. I couldn't be happier! It's completely clear so visibility is not a problem, and it's thickness makes it super quiet, no road or wind noise at all! I layered it from the bottom up so any water will run down off the door, like how you would layer roofing shingles, and after the first day, it is holding up extremely well! The glue is strong enough that it is not peeling up anywhere. It only needs to hold up for a few more days, and I honestly don't think that will be a problem. I highly recommend this tape!

Products was not good as proclaimed

Let ve it. Waterproof sticks to anything almost like a very thick plastic very solid and very very sticky.
