Only bnc connector my company uses.
These terminations are excellent. They are expensive but thats just part of it. We can do 200 terminations and not one failure. We use it with the ideal compressions tool kit and its a breeze to install for my guys. The window isnt always necessary but helps until you get the “feel” for terminating them and knowing its seated well.

Good product
Great connectors if the tool would crimp them right.

Absolutely worth the extra cash
I know what you're thinking, or at least what I was thinking... "These are so expensive compared to the twist on connectors..." but let me assure you that they are worth the extra cash. Even if you successfully get your install completed with the twist on connectors, or the cheap crimp on type, at some point down the road you're gonna need to work on that DVR. if those have loosened up at all, and they will, you will end up screwing up some of the connections and having to re-do those ends. But not with these guys! I love the clear collar so you can ensure proper insertion. I know there has been some confusion on what compression crimpers to use. I opted to go with a nicer one that is good for different types, and I can verify it works great with these connectors: Southwire Tools & Equipment CCM-C1 Compression Coax Adjustable Crimp Tool, Multi-Connector

Great product, perfect connector every time
Recently purchased a security camera system and needed to replace the cheap coaxial cables that came with the system with RG6. Purchased the Ideal RG-6 BNC compression connectors and they work great. Just followed the simple instructions on the jar. They even have a clear window on the side so you can see when the cable is seated properly.

Didn't work for me
I will be the first to admit I obviously don't know enough about compression connectors because I know a lot of people who use and love them. I have worked in video for about 12 years. I literally have done probably a thousand crimp BNC connections in my day. First I researched my coax cable on "Ideal's" website and confirmed that these should work for Belden 1694-A. I followed the directions on the package- strip 1/4" copper & 1/4" shield. Yeah, that didn't work. I burnt through most of the connectors and most of the time I could not get them to pass my "tug" test without them just sliding right off. I tried various lengths of stripping to get them to work. It wasn't until I left them almost twice as long that I got a few to stay on and to meter good. Once again, I realize maybe I didn't have the right combination or know how but for me I'm going to go back to, and stick with, the good ol' fashion crimps.

Excellent connectors for RG-6 coax cable
Excellent connectors for RG-6 coax cable. I use them to build custom pulls of coax through house for security cameras and cable TV/ The clear connector really helps to know if the cable is pushed in enough before you crimp. I don't do this often but still get great coax connections when I use these. Tried other brands and screw on connectors but now only buy these.

Only compression connector I trust
The Ideal RG59 and RG6 compressions with the transparent tube are the only compression ends I enjoy using. Far as I can recall I've only ever had 2 fail (in years). Fits a double shielded or standard with little difference.
