These are the original
You know everything about them already. If you want to retain the original sound, feel and durability, these will do it. I've never put 3rd party pads on the 650 because they are essentially perfect from the start. To me it's worth paying extra.

Bring new life to old headphones!
I've had my 6XX for seven years and didn't realize how bad the pads had gotten; they sound remarkably different (and entirely better!) with new pads.

Easy to install, extremely comfortable
I forgot exactly how nice new Senn pads felt before swapping out my old pads of three years of age. It's a bit pricy, but I bit the bullet, and it's worth it. Extremely comfortable, and will last you years.

They are genuine Sennheiser replacement pads and cushions, but they're not exactly the same.
I was happy to discover that these are in fact genuine Sennheiser replacement parts, however they don't exactly match the originals on my HD600 headphones. The pads are the same, but the backing material is a little different. The originals have a flat matte plastic back that snaps into the headphone assembly while these seem to have an added clear plastic cutout overlay glued into place. At first I thought they might not actually be for my particular model, but they did snap into place once I got a little forceful with them. (I so rarely replace the earpads I'd forgotten that they have to be pressed pretty firmly to properly latch into place.)You wouldn't think that new pads and foam coverings would change much in these headphones, but in my case it made a HUGE difference from my old crumbling coverings. The sound is actually brighter and clearer despite the foam being a bit thicker than my old flat ones. In a way, it was like getting new headphones all over again, so I'm pretty happy with these things.

Only Genuine Sennheiser Pads the way !!
I had many different type of pads including ZMF pads specifically made for the HD600 line what is close but not quite. I have all 4 headphones of the 600 line. 600 650 660S and 660S2. All 4 sounds best with the brand new genuine Sennheiser pads ! I compared the headphones with the brand new pads and I decided I keep 2 of the 4. The 600 and 650 I purchased brand new in 2017 here on Amazon but I decided to sell them because for my taste I like the 660S and 660S 2 the most. My preference are those but the oter two good headphones also. For me the 660S1 has the best midrange and treble and the bass tight not bad with these new pads I use these headphones with classical music and with soundtracks only. For other type of music I use speakers not headphones. With these brand new pads the 660S sounds beautiful. I was wondering what happened to all 4 of my headphones? Why not as good sounding as they were before ? Because the pads worn out and the sound kept going flat and more flat. Get the new pads if on your 600 , 650 , 660S or on your 660S2 the pads worn out or you got the headphones used and you never heard them with brand new pads. These are approx 50 dollars a pair but for me worth it because these headphones sound very good only with genuine pads.

Authentic pads make all the difference. If you haven't changed yours in awhile, do it!
I love my Sennheiser HD 600s for working late at night or double checking mixes I do with my monitors. Unfortunately the velour pads get kind of compressed and funky after awhile. I sweat a lot so after awhile my pads got kind of gross.I'd looked into getting leather pads or something else that wouldn't absorb so much perspiration, but all my research indicated that using any materials other than what were stock would radically change the sound profile. I decided to go with the authentic pad replacements. Installing them was as easy as pulling the old pads out, and then just clicking the new ones into place making sure that everything was latched all the way around each can.The first thing I realized was that I'd gotten used to the speakers being MUCH closer to my ears than they should have been over the years since the old pads had gotten compressed. The second thing I noticed was how much the sound quality was restored. I was worried that perhaps after years of heavy use, they started to "burn in" and change in a not so good way, but it turns out that the problem was 100% my old disgusting ear pads. Now that I have fresh authentic pads in place, the sound is as clear and detailed as I remember them being. Now I need to make sure to schedule a replacement regularly to avoid this happening again in the future. The authentic pad replacements are a little more costly than some of the 3rd party options out there, but if you bought a pair of headphones compatible with these pads, I'm assuming sound quality is important to you. Spend a little more to get the real deal and you'll be glad you did.

Solve the problem.
I recommend them. Would’ve been better if it included a piece of tutorial for replacement.
