Composite threshold was perfect for the storage door application. With the composite wood I don't have to worry about wood rot. Not only that but it was an item I was unable to locate at the big Home Improvement stores and it was delivered my front door. Excellent!!!!!

Wanted a product that was resistant to insect attack - this fit the bill. However, I wasn't happy to see that the item isn't as pictured...that solid core has been replaced by a hollow plastic piece. There's no way to attach this threshold to the door frame - it has to be screwed down to the floor. Also concerned as others have stated that replacement parts aren't available. Hope it hold up over time.

I really needed a shorter threshold but this was easy to cut and replaced ours that had been installed for about 20 years.

The reason for purchasing this threshold was that I was trying to find a threshold that I could use at my front door after doing a construction project that required us to remove the old threshold. I like having a rug in front of the door so that when you come in with snow or mud you have a place to take off your boots, or shoes and not get dirt all over the floor. This threshold allows that, while still stopping the air from coming in. I don't think I realized that the piece that looks like wood is really plastic when I bought it, so I was a little disappointed in that. Otherwise it works perfectly. My husband hates it though as it does require you to step over the threshold. He prefers the old oak threshold type, but then the door has to either be too low to allow a rug, or you put a little sweep on the door and again it doesn't really allow a rug. ( can't please everyone). It's has little plastic pieces that you put into the holes after you adjust the height, and I did have problems with this. I lost one when it popped out and went down between the landing and the house, and I ruined one trying to get it in. These pieces are quite cheap plastic. I haven't been able to find a replacement. Still, I gave 4 stars because it fits my need, does the job, totally stops the cold air from coming in under the door without needing to attach anything to the door, and allows me to have rug in front of the door.
