GollnweMen's Dress Shirt French Cuff Shirt for Men Slim Fit Stretch Spread Collar with Metal Cufflink

The white dress shirt is the staple dress shirt. After years of purchasing white fitted shirts on Amazon, the Buttoned Down Amazon Brand fit the best. They were truly fitted and were sold in varying sleeve lengths. Despite the success of those shirts, however, Amazon failed to restock the white ones after they quickly sold out. I begged them to restock: they haven't! I tried other brands which flopped. I just bought this shirt from Gollnwe and I think it could be the new King of fitted shirts on Amazon. I am 5'9" and weigh 174 lbs. I usually order large shirts with 34-35 sleeve lengths. With this brand I ordered a medium. The shirt fits perfectly at the shoulders, chest, flanks, and upper arms. The sleeve length is ok except that, sometimes when I sit and bend my arms, the sleeve rises up to the middle of my forearm. Probably this happens because of how slim the shirt is in the biceps areas. Who knows.There's one limitation with this brand, however, which is that this shirt comes as French cuff only. Most persons would only wear a French cuff shirt at a formal event or for work if you're, e.g., an attorney or a Wall Street professional. For most other scenarios a white barrel/regular cuffed shirt might be more appropriate. The brand has regular cuff shirts but those come with contrast stitching which is inappropriate for the office. Accordingly, dear Gollnwe, trust me. Start making regular cuff shirts (if only white ones) without the contrast stitching or contrasting buttons. You won't regret it! While you're at it, make shirts with varying sleeve lengths and state the options in the description. You will thank me for it...probably with a week's supply of shirts? 😀 I just ordered 3 more of these because I don't want to lose out on these good shirts as I did with the Amazon Buttoned Down.UPDATE -I wore this shirt with a suit jacket and the problem I mentioned above about the sleeve sometimes rising up was non-existent.Although it is a French cuff shirt you can still wear it as a barrel/regular cuff shirt. Just line up the cuffs like you would an ordinary shirt and pass the cuff links through the holes. This was irritatingly tedious to do but I got it done. I, therefore, still advise the company to make regular cuffed shirts with no-contrast threading.There’s a kink about 1.5” below the top button (I’ve observed this with some other brands). It looks distracting if you button all the way up and wear the shirt with no tie. If, however, you wear the shirt unbuttoned at the top, or you wear a long tie, you wouldn’t see the kink. I haven’t tried wearing it with a bowtie.I now have to see how the shirt holds up after a wash. UPDATE - The shirt still looks good after two washes. I did not put it in the dryer. I hung it to dry as I do with my other delicate dress attire. I don’t trust dryers for delicates.

Ok, so I'm going to start off with the positives before I start getting into the many negatives. So the fabric is very light and comfortable, and they offer a decent selection of colors. Shipping was also decently fast compared to everything else I've ordered.Now for the negatives. To start off, their colors don't REALLY match the description, so definitely go based on the pictures. They also say this is a "slim fit", but they clearly think Americans must be truly MASSIVE. I'm not a small guy by any means (5'9" and 185lb) but there was still about an extra 8"-10" of fabric that would have to be removed for it to be a good fit around my midsection. Truly a terrible example of a "slim fit" shirt. The cufflinks they included are crap, which doesn't REALLY matter to me because I have a few dozen different high quality sets, but what DOES bother me is that they're almost too big for the cufflink holes. You almost rip the embroidery thread that lines the cufflink holes just trying to get them out. The cufflinks are made out of metal so cheap and flimsy that they feel like plastic. The normal shirt buttons are so shiny that they almost distract from the rest of the shirt. Finally, and this bothers me almost as much as the poor fitment, THE CRAPPY PLASTIC COLLAR STAYS AREN'T REMOVABLE!!!! I have nice metal collar stays I can't use because this company made a REALLY stupid design decision. Furthermore, it appears as if somebody in their factory screwed up while ironing one of the 4 shirts I ordered, so the material has an overly shiny spot on the collar.TL/DR;Pros:1) Comfortable fabric2) Decent color3) Low(ish) pricingCons:1) HORRIBLE fitment2) Permanent cheap plastic collar stays3) Gaudy buttons4) Cheap/crap cufflinks5) Colors don't match description but matches pictures more closely (red looks more maroon and purple is WAY darker than the picture)6) Specifically, one of my collars was ruined before I even got the freaking shirt 🤦‍♂️.EDIT: I'm increasing my rating by a single star because of how comfortable they are, even in the Alabama heat.

My little brother got Married last October, and all his groomsmen were instructed to purchase this shirt. He wanted something purple (His wife's wedding color), inexpensive, but nice enough to be worn with a rental tux. This shirt ticked all the boxes.The issue is that his older brother (me) wears a 3XLT size shirt, and this seller only sold up to 2XL for the purple color! In desperation I reached out to the seller here via amazon to ask if a 3XL could be made in purple. My other inclination was to purchase the white version in a large size and have it dyed. But...Very lucky for me, the seller worked out a special order! I received the larger sized shirt in the correct color in about 6 weeks after contacting! And it was so cheap I ended up paying them extra as a tip for helping me out.So the shirt is a nice shirt. I'll probably never wear it again. But it saved my (big) A$$ from not matching at my brother's wedding. This company literally helped me have a wonderful time, and I am very grateful!
