Essentials of Advanced Composite Fabrication & Repair

I had assumed from some of the other reviews that this book would talk you through some of the processes that you could use when building things with composite materials, but it's more academic in scope than really a hands-on book. That said, it offers invaluable information on the subject and going into my first composite project I feel much more prepared and informed on what to expect and how to choose a specific set of materials & resin for the qualities I want in the finished good.If you're just getting started with composites and want to make the most of it, this might qualify as a prerequisite.

As advertised this book contains a wealth of composite repair information. It's not a step by step instruction manual, but it gives you a lot of knowledge. The fact that Abaris uses this book to support their professional training gives the book credibility.

I help certify our technicians at work. I have a lot of accumulated materials for the class but this is a nice item to give to our techs to make sure they have the info at hand when they need it.

Great product, exceptional quality for a used book

I have taught from a number of composite books in the past but this is one of the best. Up to date information, and very informative. My students enjoy this book, and keep it for reference later. Outstanding book.

The book arrived in packaging crushed but book was in New condition. I took the Composites program at SouthSeattle Community College and this is the book they instructed from. I would recommend it for anyone interestedin Composites.

Good book covering most topics. Some advanced topics not covered well, like tubular fabrication. Some more detail on large mold construction and strength required, especially as composites will be used more for large scale structural work in the future. Not as comprehensive as I would like but fair value.

We are a training facility for repairs on rotor blades of wind turbines and introduce our trainees to this book. It includes comprehensive background information and describes some standard sample repair methods. This book is not for people who expect calculation formulas. The book is written for people who practice composite repair work and want all useful information about all components they are going to use. The content exceeds by far what is indicated in the book title. Production methods and some damage analysis are also included. The book is also easy to read for persons who are not perfect in English language. For the last three years we recommend this book to all our Academy trainees.

I'm in my final year mechanical engineering technology, specializing in manufacturing. While we obviously go over composites during our courses, the extra knowledge I've gathered from this book since I got it a few weeks ago has been absolutely priceless. Highly recommend it both for people already knowledgable in composites, and those who are just getting in to it, as there is also an introductory section at the beginning of the book.

The book arrived on time with good quality

Is a good start, but if you want equations, or technical results, this is the wrong book, is more like a literary book.
