Good starting book for 4th grader
Using this book as an introduction for my 4th grader. We enjoy reading it together and it is a good stepping off point to see what topics interest her.I wish that the book would include not just the name given to the Indigenous Peoples by the European traders/settlers but also use the Haudenosaunee name which is what they go by themselves. I feel that is important to teach and include in studies of the original inhabitants of this country.

Grandma loves it!
I bought a series of books for my grandmother and she loved this one. It is clear that the Iroquois culture was and is diverse and this book gave some good history.
