The screen is the same as the original, it was very easy to install. Maintains colors and performance of camera and microphones! Definitely a good deal on buying the replacement and installing it yourself.

I accidentally cracked the screen by closing the lid on the charging cord. This replacement lid seems just like the original. Even has the Apple logo. Was a bit cheaper than other options, but the reason why I went with this was that one reviewer said that the tools that came with it were of good quality. I would have chose the more expensive one because it had many more reviewers, but a common complaint was the poor quality tools. A messed up screw can really cause a huge headache. This one has a handle with 5 bits that are magnetic when placed in the handle. Very helpful for reassembly.Regardless of whether you get the best tools, there are 4-5 different sized star bit screws you have to contend with. You have to be careful that you are using the right size or you could easily mess up the screw or tool.I followed along with the 20 minute YouTube video online (this one does not come with instructions) pausing it frequently to work on mine before watching the next segment. Took me about an hour.I spent several minute determining that my MacBook was Silver only to order the "space grey" which is not a bad color, just a bit darker. Before clicking on the "buy" button, be sure that you checked the correct color. Oh well, the main thing is that I am back in business. So far so good.

I used a YouTube tutorial video and the screen came with all the essential tools so just take your time and save a bunch of money, a few side notes one the screen says MacBook Pro even though it is specifically made for the 2020 M1 MacBook Air 🤐 no big deal also they claim it has no Apple logo but mine sure did which was a pleasant surprise since I wanted to maintain the original aesthetic. This one is the least expensive replacement screen on Amazon and wile it may no longer do ambient light sensing this is a feature I can live without I highly recommend it good luck 🍀*** update 2 weeks after installation it stopped working completely thankfully within return period buyer beware no idea what caused the screen to stoop but I’m over it and just use my Mac with an external monitor instead of trying to fix it

My dog bit my computer screen and broke it. Computer repair shop down the street said it would cost $500 to fix it. At that rate I was better off buying a brand new computer. Then came this find. There are no instructions, but a search on Youtube yields many tutorials, pick your poison. Within 45 minutes my screen was as good as new.

Dog bit screen of Macbook Air.New screen arrived well packaged in custom styrofoam, with tools. Watch a video and you can do it.Some of those screws are very tiny, a test for your eyes and fingers, but it swapped easily and the laptop started up again like new.

Good packaging, the screen looks fine and the color matches, but the driver and bits shown in the images were not included so I am not currently able to install.

I see no visible difference in the screen quality vs the OEM display. Only thing different is the max brightness setting is a pinch more dim than OEM. The lack of true tone is truly not an issue for me. Camera functions perfectly. One thing I am noticing, but could potentially be in my head, is that the response time on this LCD seems to be slightly lower than the OEM LCD. The response time of the OEM display with true tone is about 35ms or so. It seems as though this monitor might be in the 27-30ish range possibly? If anyone can verify this information that would be great. This could be looked at as an unexpected plus if true.
