Perfect toys for teens that no longer want toys! Must buy 2 - 3 at a time. Read why.
5 stars, BUT... If you have two kids, buy 3; if you have three kids, buy 4. I'm so glad I did, or the unveiling night would have been heartbreaking. I'm returning 1 of the first 3. They're crazy fast and super bright at night. Three in a pool is exciting enough for teens, but might be a bit loud for neighbors. (Especially with all of the shouting and cheering!) OMG YES, they will get cut out tangled in long hair, but the instructions specifically told us to avoid that potential. These are great toys for big kids, big teens, and Dad. They 'automatically' pair by holding a boat to a controller. We've had trouble with two boats pairing to one controller, but if you pair them far apart from each other, you can resolve that issue. (When two pairs accidentally, it's not frustrating, it's actually hysterical.) They absolutely DO NOT automatically flip over to right themselves unless you somehow learn the advanced buttons on the controller. We don't understand those instructions and haven't learned the more complicated buttons yet. Reverse works, but is basically unnecessary. I originally saw teens using these on a small lake and fell in love, but I got them for our pool. I would only use these in a lake if you've got access to a boat or canoe to retrieve them. They hold about 25-30 minutes of battery life, and the backup battery provides an additional half hour. After that, you're pretty much done for that play session. These are a total gem for a family with older children and teens who are aging out of toys or difficult to buy for, I highly recommend, but ONLY if you buy three boats for playing together and smashing into each other on purpose.

Reliable and fast
We absolutely love this RC boat! It's easy to control, even for younger kids, and it zips across the water super fast. The design is bright and fun, and the battery lasts longer than expected. Perfect for pool or lake play. Great toy for outdoor fun—highly recommended for any young boat enthusiast!

Fun boats!
Huge hit with my 3 boys! Lost all three propellers in 12 hours, but what do you expect with two 6-year-olds and a 10-year-old? Came with an extra propeller so that was nice. Purchased more propellers but have no idea if they will work with these or not. If anyone knows where to get more propellers for this particular boat let me know!

Decent for price 10yrs or younger..
Only turns 1 way good but it's still fun in a pool or lake for the kids..even adults but I say 10yrs old and younger this is for. Want more advanced, spend more money

MAD FUN!!! But here's what I did.
These little boats are beasts. At first I didn't have much control, was frustrating to drive slow, since speed was dangerous. The battery is a pain to seat properly in the deep corner, but it really does do a lot for your stability and steering. So, after adjusting trims, adjusting the rudder to thr other hoke, adding extra movement to the steering on top of the transmitter.. It was now turning into something manageable and fun. NOTE: Wall collision will break the front plastic tab holding the motor. The motor slides forward and the prop will cease to spin, after a few good hits. It's an easy fix to slide the motor back to its spot, and silicone the motor in all 4 corners. While you have the silicone out, yank the plastic tubes, and silicone those hole too. So, if you've made it this far, let me say if you can make a few tweaks these are a solid bang for the buck. To those that are rc hobbyists.. I added some jst plugs to the battery so I can run a 800mah lipo battery, run times are now incredible, and I can use a standard rc battery charger, and skip the long wait using the USB charger that's included. Included a picture that shows all the mods. Hope this helps.

Only the lights work…the boats do not actually do anything
I charged the batteries and plugged them into each of the 2 boats I bought, installed the remote batteries, double and triple checking that they were in correctly, and neither boat does anything but light up. One boat already had a piece rattling around inside that was a plastic clamp for the little motor broken off before I even opened the package. The lights work but propellers/remote do nothing. Both are junk and Amazon almost didn’t accept my return because I didn’t get time to open and try them until just after the 30 day mark. If you buy these, try them immediately so you can return them when they do nothing but light up!

Awesome present for beginners. Get extra batteries🤙🏾
Took it out twice and so far so good. My just turned 6 year old got the hang of it quickly. Make sure you adjust any trim so it goes straight. When battery gets empty it will slow down significantly and you have to bring it home immediately. Don’t be far out towards the end of the battery. Make sure to dry out the inside each time, minimal water gets inside.

Real fun
I bought my first one from a resale store and had a blast with it. I used it mostly for fishing. I modified it to drag a sonar bobber. When I got it the motor was a little rusted so I knew I didn't have much time with it. That one finally died and since I loved it so much I bought a new one

I felt bad that our grandson could only operate the boat for approx. 10 min. And had to recharge. 😞😞

This boat is faster than I expected. The battery lasts about 15 minutes. This might be normal that’s the only reason I gave it a 4 star for battery life.

Unfortunately we tried it for the first time last week after getting it for my son for Christmas and the gear inside stripped immediately. We had about 8 minutes of fun and then it was game over. Much too expensive for this to happen.
