CorelDRAW X8: The Official Guide

Bought this manual to familiarize myself with CorelDRAW's seemign endless capabilities, found it is also very well-written and fun to read. Kudos to the author!

The Official Guide for Corel Draw x8 is an excellent reference for most levels of ability--far beyond what I really want or need. It is filled with examples and step by step guides for most every feature of the program. I have used Corel Draw since the mid 90s and am a big fan. I can do all sorts of excellent techniques with the program and I only know about 10 percent of what x8 can do. Maybe even only 8 percent. If a user really wants to learn the program and is willing to spend the time it takes, this is the most complete source for your answers.

I like the way the teaching is "hands-on" --you can follow instructions on the computer as you read them in the book. That aspect has been most helpful. I am a senior citizen and am teaching myself computer graphics--this book is very helpful and fairly easy to understand.

Corel's Graphics software are at the top of my list, hard to beat in my mind! As in earlier issues, this is the most complete and comprehensive guide to solving questions that may come up or Graphic problems that may arise.

The Kindle version is five stars but the book is only three. The content is the same but the book keeps talking about color in the figures. The graphics in the book are all grayscale! Buy a Fire 10 and load the book as a Kindle version. Its cheaper and the Kindle version is full color! You will be much happier. The guide as a whole is five stars especially for those new to CorelDRAW.

It was easy to follow. Very well written, definitely worth the money.

There is a derth of technical documentation in Corel world. This goes a fair way to remedy that situation. For me on line docs are cumbersome and slow. Margins could stand to be wider so I can annotate it. Also could be more explicit about covering the "Graphics Suite", title seems to imply it covers only one product.. Would be even better if it had something to say about the others apps included in the suite, such as font manager.

Lot of knowledge went into this excellent book. It is rather a CorelDraw Bible nothing has been left out. The descriptions and the explanations are easily understandable. There are the exercise files for making the practical applications convenient I do not have to search for exercises on my own.

Just ok. Should have been more elaborate. Installation and extension guide should have been incorporated.

Very informative book especially if you are new to the software like myself. Some examples need reading a few times to realise what the author is doing but the pay off is worth the effort. Still only halfway through but already learned so much about the software from this book.
