Dell MKN5F Slim Power Adapter, 90-Watt

Saved approx $15 than purchasing from Dell site, and it IS a legitimate brand item and I received it quickly. Chargest quickly and does not overheat (a most important feature), as stated on the item info page. Love the charging light indicator...makes it easy to find in low light or in darkness. No issues thus far...a very satisfying buy. Thanks so much!

This adapter is exactly as advertised but a bit better. It is slim and lightweight. It was easy to install with no questions. It was easy easy and worked with no problems. The seller sent the adapter securely without question of it's arriving safely and with all cables included and the transaction went smooth as silk. If only every purchase was this easy. I will buy from this dependable seller again.

Can't argue with the price on this considering many others are selling the same or similar for higher on other sites. Also loving the fact that this is a Dell OEM charger that's still compatible with the likes of old alienware laptops like my m11x r2. The halo port light also looks awesome but I wish there was a way to turn it off while using it.

So I've had this charger for three and a half months or so now, and I was more than happy with it. Looked nice, didn't get too hot, all-around great charger. Well, just a few days ago I went to plug the charger into the wall (luckily not hooked up to my computer yet) and BOOM, sparks everywhere. There were like, 3 or 4 exposed wires that decided to freak out and throw sparks, and I have no doubt that had I been holding the charger in the wrong spot that I would've gotten a nasty shock myself. It is unbelievable to me that this charger deteriorated this quickly after only a few months of normal to light use - I haven't even been using it a lot of the time since it's summer and I haven't been in class. DO NOT buy this charger unless you want to see some mini-fireworks and risk getting shocked.

I've been using this AC adapter for several days now and am very pleased with the unit. I needed to replace an existing AC adapter which my son gave to me along with his laptop. My old adapter was heavier, bulkier, and was very warm to the touch when in use. Over time the adapter's cord became frayed in two places. This new unit is about 25% smaller and much lighter than my old one. Measures approximately 5" x 2.5" and less than an inch tall (lying flat). It is well made and I don't feel any heat generating from the device. The cord running from the laptop to the adapter has a self clip (don't know what else to call it) so you don't need to use Velcro to bind the cord to itself. I don't need the full length so that helps a lot.

Slim and fairly light compared to the standard Latitude brick, this one's a step up in wattage from my now dead 65W Dell PA-12 Slim Family power adapter, but it's unfortunately nearly twice as thick (bleh). Pros + It charges my laptop at the full 90W capacity, so Dell's Express Charge feature works. + The light ring is somewhat useful for troubleshooting (I've plugged my other brick into disabled outlets before and tried to figure out what happened). Cons - I do wish that it wasn't a grounded plug; it's easier to get the slimmer int'l adapters for non-grounded plugs. - There's a lot more thickness here compared to the 65W version.
