Love these
These are awesome! They expand super well and quickly. High quality for a low price. I use them for both my plants and my tarantulas and they work great. They hold water well while still allowing it to drain.

Great stuff
I use this product for seed starting. I have been very impressed with it so far - absorbs water quickly, expands to around half of a 4 gallon bucket, great sterile medium, quite fine and uniform, and super convenient to store. Per pound, not the cheapest way to buy coir, but the small blocks were worth it in convenience, especially if you are just doing a flat or two of seeds at a time and don't have a lot of storage space. As far as how well seeds grow, I'm just getting into the season, so can't give definitive answers, but my first couple batches of seeds are up and doing well. I didn't sterilize my pots, so have had some issues with mold growth on the surface if I don't top water. My yellow onion starts have struggled some with damping off - but they always do for me, so I wouldn't blame this medium - but at the same time, it didn't solve it, either. I did mix with a little organic fertilizer as there is really nothing to this stuff as far as nutrients go, and your starts are going to need something to grow on after they're up. I did no fancy treatments, just poured warm tap water on it in a bucket until it was completely expanded and mixed in a little fertilizer. Works for me - I'll buy again.

Top Quality
The best I have ever purchased. Very clean product. Hydrated evenly with very little stirring required when preparing for mushroom substrate. Holds moisture extremely well.

Not all blocks are created equal
These are a nice price for what you get, however, if you are using this in any kind of process where you need exactly 650g block of coco coir for say, a mushroom substrate recipe, you will find that these blocks are not all the same size, despite what the description says. I ordered (2) five packs of these coco coir bricks. I haven't opened the 2nd box yet, as I don't need them yet, but in the first box, upon opening, you can see the blocks are not created equal. 2 of them were very skinny, one was very thick, and the other two were what I would call normal exact size. I will weigh each of the blocks in the other box to see how they are. You might not think that a smaller or larger block would matter that much, but when you need exactly 650g block of coco coir for a perfect field capacity mushroom substrate, it makes a very big difference.

Perfect for DIY Soil Mix
Great component of my DIY soil mix. With regards to coco coir in general - it's easy to use. You can place a whole brick of it in a tub with water and allow it to moisten and break apart easily. It's pretty tough to break the brick apart into smaller sections, but not impossible. Coco coir is less acidic than peat moss (which some plants actually prefer but can be an issue for other houseplants), and similar with regards to absorbency and drainage. With regards to this specific product - clean (no bugs), great value for the quantity, and organized into multiple units so you don't have to break apart chunks from a massive dehydrated block of coco coir. It's conveniently stored into 5 bricks, allowing you to safely store unused bricks in their airtight plastic wrap. When comparing products, I noticed another brand that was slightly more expensive (by a few dollars) and opted to go with this brand since it was the cheapest at the time. Overall great product and price.

Love it for my tarantulas
Had to write a review for this. I’ve kept tarantulas for around 15 years now, and use coconut fiber for their substrate. It’s easy for them to dig through and holds moisture that is important for molts. I would usually buy zoo-med brand or whatever the pet store nearby carries. But this was a better deal and the reviews were pretty good. Well, they were right. I was able to rebuild two 10 gallon tanks and one 5 gallon tank with this 5 pack, and had to use the rest and 2 leftover bricks from another brand for the last tank. This brand is chopped in a way that leaves it consistent and fluffy. The pet store brand is stringy and chunky. This brand washed off easily. The brand bought from the pet store left my hands and arms itchy, as if the spiders had kicked hairs on me. This brand also seemed to absorb water faster and more consistently than the others. I’m so pleased. Will be buying every time now.

So Far So Good…
So far, I’m impressed. Unlike others out there, my bricks came in uniform size and weight. The brick was easy to use: just place in a bucket or pail and fill with water (quite a bit) and let soak for a couple hours or overnight. Once the brick has absorbed the liquid, it breaks apart easily. At first glance, the material seems to be of good consistency. Definitely retains moisture, as stated. I’m pleased with the amount of expansion, and am optimistic that it will serve its purpose for starting my seeds. Only time will tell…

I can not find proper words to say how bad product it is. All my flowers died . It took all the water and didn't get any water to flowers. If you like your flowers, do not buy it.
