Love this xpen!
This xpen is awesome because you can make it whatever size or shape you want to. It's also cheaper and comes with more pieces than the ones just like it that come with a door! It doesn't have a door but you can just use 2 zip ties on 1 side and a carabiner to clasp it shut. It's sturdy but as you can see, I didn't do 2 levels because Bun Bun is about 7 pounds and I don't think it's strong enough for her weight. She does pull on the panels, shake them so she can get my attention and stand up and lean on them but they don't budge! The zip ties are definitely necessary since some of the plastic clips aren't tight and they're also kinda fragile but they work perfectly with the ties. Just make sure you face them out if you're gonna use it for an animal that likes to chew. She's chewed the excess plastic off a few times.NOTE: This is 2 of the xpens put together! I only used 3 panels from the 2nd one for the roof and it doesn't come with enough clips either so just aware of that! I just used them where I thought it was essential and then ziptied the others together. Perfect!👌

My rabbits LOVE IT!
My babies love it! They have the time of their lives running and jumping around it! It’s easy to reassemble in different ways, I just wish it was a bit sturdier. (Also included a picture of them when they were babies, just because 🤍🖤)

I feel it is mislabeled by saying “small animal”
I got this because we had a rescue cat have a litter of kittens. We needed a way to contain them once they had their eyes open and were able to climb out of the bin we had them in. I got this since it was modular and could be turned into a form of storage once it was no longer needed for the kittens.Almost immediately we had a problem. We walked into the dining room and saw a kitten was stuck partway through one of the holes. Our youngest was freaking out and terrified that he was going to be hurt. We got him out fine, but it kept happening. After the third time, we took some of the leftover panels and offset them half a square so the gaps were much smaller. We did this for all the “wall” pieces on the perimeter. We used the included plastic zipties to secure them. We also made a panel that opened like a door on the “roof” with the help of the zipties. There were several issues. Once their teeth came in, they just chewed through the plastic ties. Including the ones for the “door”. So we had kittens constantly escaping. Even though we used the included hammer to attach the black connector pieces, things still fell apart very easily. They figured out how to push on things around the “door” piece and next thing we knew, 2-3 panels were collapsing. It took 3 or 4 people to lift it and move it for cleaning purposes and it still required reassembly.I got frustrated and bought stainless steel zipties that they couldn’t chew through. It kinda worked, but then I had to buy metal snips to clip the zipties when we were ready to get break down the pen.The kittens were about 5 weeks old when we put them in the pen. I think this would be an awesome system if there were a couple improvements made. Smaller spaces so that small animals can’t get stuck. Kittens can squeeze through smaller spaces than you would think. Connectors that have a way of actually locking in place, but that also easily unlock to make configuring or changing the layout both easier and more versatile and stable. A set of connectors that make it where you can make a panel work as a functional door or gate. The inclusion of the hammer and zipties was nice, but the fact that most animals that would be kept in a pen like this could easily chew through the zipties and potentially choke on the fragments is worrisome. Perhaps figure out some kind of metal loops or rings that can be attached and removed without needing special snips (like the metal zipties I bought needed)?I’m hesitant to try to assemble the panels into something like a 3x3 cubby storage because of how unstable it seemed as a pen. I really hoped this would work out better!

I use these for my Guinea pigs
I love these so much! They were so easy to put together. The amount of grids that come in a pack for so cheap is awesome. I really liked how sturdy this cage was and how simple it is! :) (the grids are around 14 inches)

Durable af
This thing was so fun to put together and for the price of this I could have gotten a horrible cage at PetSmart (those things are expensive and should neeeever house a bunny) There’s so much space and it’s durable BUT I also had to sand down a couple of spots on the paneling because it had a few sharp little bits that poked out in the corners. Other than that I’m planning on buying another set to expand on a running/play area for my bunny once he gets a little older!EDIT: I made a cover for the upper level with willow wood and a cover of fleece so my bun’s feet wouldn’t go through the squares and he LOVES it. I made it his home base as he is free roam and he often goes in just to take naps. He feels very safe and I definitely recommend this as a cage if you do your research and know what is safe for your bun.

Good value for my Guinea pigs.
Bought this to create 2 separate play areas for my young male Guinea pigs. Although it takes up a lot of space, the piggies love it. They still try to fight through it but you get so many grates that you can block off a section between them. Not the sturdiest of cages so I don’t know how it would stand up by anything bigger than a bunny. Good value for my use.

Flimsy— some pieces broken and not fully welded.
Wanted to love this cage as I’ve had C&C cages before. However, this was very low quality and super flimsy. Plastic connectors break easily and several metal pieces are not properly welded which is a hazard to pets. Overall I wouldn’t recommend.
