When it gets cold, mice will try to get in your house. It seems as if they prefer to dodge cats more than stay out in the cold. These devices are easy to use -- just plug them in and a light will come on to tell you they're working (except for one broken one in the box -- one star off for that). While you can't hear them at all (even if people think you're a pest sometimes), to mice they apparently sound like a screeching car alarm that never shuts off. Your cat or dog (who also can't hear them) will like these too, since for the first week or so, the mice will come out of their hiding places and get themselves caught to escape the horrible sounds in their little mouse heads. If there are still any around after that, they will decide the cold isn't so bad after all, and leave.

These are very easy to use. Basically just plug them in and that's it. They light up when they are plugged in. They don't make any sound, at least nothing i can hear. They don't bother my cats either. I'm not sure if they do anything yet, as it's too early to tell. I bought a 6 pack and after less than 24 hours 1 of them is already broken. They are clearly very cheaply made, but i guess that's to be expected. 5 out of 6 working units still isn't bad for the price. So far all of the other ones are still working.

I have been wanting this item because I live close to a bayou. In an effort to locate the 6 pieces around the house, one of them did not light up. Gives me the feeling that it does not work. Is this accurate?

I was very skeptical about these working, but I was desperate. I was covered in mosquito bites, and creams and sprays were no longer cutting it. It does take a few days for you to notice a difference, but they absolutely work! I was able to heal my bug bites without tending to new ones. The only thing I will say is that the light is a little annoying in the bedroom when you try and go to bed, so just be sure to place it somewhere in the room where it isn't going to disturb you while you sleep.

Much smaller than I expected, which is a good sign. I was expecting a large, loud device but instead received a small, silent one. I placed it where I had noticed some cockroaches and moths appearing over the past two weeks. I was surprised when I saw that they had disappeared. And it didn't bother my cat either. Recommend this device.

five out of six worked. what do I do now?

I still see ants, stinkbugs, spiders, and sometimes roaches in my place. Went ahead and bought an actual bug killer because this was a waste of money. Breaking them 2 months later was the funnest part
