C cell flashlight has very good features
This Rothco Olive drab green color C cell flashlight is surprisingly functional, sturdy and useful. The C cell batteries have a long lighting time when an optional 74 watt Nite Ize LED lightbulb is installed in this Rothco military style angle flashlight.

Good one-hand operation with flash function
The media could not be loaded. I had a ton of C batteries to use up so these were the perfect flashlights to have around. They look great although plastic, can stand upright when shining, the flash function is useful, and includes a loop on the bottom to hang up the light. Its not very bright by today’s standards but the pattern is pretty uniform for close-range illumination. I plan to swap out the bulb for LEDs for the color and to conserve battery.Comes with color filters built-into the end cap, but have no use for them personally.

Smaller than the GI issued
Still works wonderfully

Fantastic product. Best light we ever had. Much better than a regular flash light. Would highly recommend!!!!!

Not a field-worthy torch
While I appreciate the throwback design and multiple light filters for tactical purposes, this torch casing is not mean to withstand any kind of ruggedness and feels like it is made from a cheap plastic from China (probably is). It's not super bright but it is effective for being able to see in the dark at home maybe. If you want a cool backup torch in case the power goes out at home, this might be for you. Otherwise, make sure your torch has a metal casing.

NOTE NOT GI Original Flashliht (Lantern)
Works perfect. Notice: this is a GI style and is not an original GI flashlight (lantern). Only has a slide button for on and off. It does not have the functionality of a GI original flashlight (lantern). It's made of plastic, is very light-weight. It would easily break if dropped on a hard floor or ground surface. If you are just looking for a Look Alike or a GI style flashlight (lantern) for kids, this is an inexpensive and functional way to go.

I did not expect a bright light with incandescent source but the reflector is poorly planned.
I will start withthe worst and progress the the best. Very sloppy screw together surfaces, what a pain to line up the threads to screw it together. Be aware that cross threading is a problem. The colored lenses are nice but all have minute scratches due to poor packaging. Novelty is great if that is all you want. I will keep this because it stands up and runs on C cells. The content points appear the be brass and robust this is good. I ordered bayonet led bulbs to improve the output which I expected to do. The reflector is poorly matched to the incandescent bulb and offers a 10 inch distorted beam at 10 feet WOW. Price point for this is nt worth it as I cannot find a way to justify it with the exception that it stands upright and points where I want it to THATS IT Cheaplymade NOVELTY . Sorry to all

It's a novelty item
I'm writing this review based on my first impressions upon opening it from the package. This is not a survival/emergency flashlight. If you're looking for something dependable, I suggest you look elsewhere. That being said it's a nice novelty item. Good enough for cosplay or to give to a child. In terms of brightness, it's about the same as my mini mag incandescent flashlight. It's not bad, but you can't focus the beam, and in my case there was dark spot in the middle of the flashlight which is a bit annoying. It's neither a spot or floodlight, but rather somewhere in between. It comes with 5 lens in total. Clear, red, yellow, light green, and blue. It's true that the colored lens block some of the light and make it less dim. The clip is sturdy enough to support it's own weight. The flashlight body is made of a cheap plastic which makes it lightweight, but I'd imagine it'd also break easily. If your flashlight doesn't want to turn on, I suggest you tighten the head and bottom end as it requires both to be extremely tight to work. In my case the threads were all the way down, but it didn't turn on until I torqued down the housing to ensure a tight fit for the circuit to work. I really hope that this bulb doesn't burn out quick or drains my batteries fast because if it does, then this flashlight is complete junk. I'm hoping that at the very least that it lasts as long as my mini maglite.I wouldn't buy this again, but I'm not so upset that I'll bother returning it......at least not yet anyways. You get what you pay for and if you want an incandescent flashlight just get a Maglite.
