Fusion Mineral Paint 500 ml Midnight Blue

Used this several times for upcycling projects, always a great result

finish is great. work time is very short and even with expensive brushes you can get heavy brush strokes so don't brush over it once you pass the area one time. A slightly damp paint brush with the product slightly watered down worked WAY better and went on super smooth. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND you sand completely smooth between brush strokes. While you don't need prep the surface to get the paint to ADHERE, the finish will only look as good as the surface you start with. A super smooth surface with sanding in between coats and apply a watered down topcoat with a damp brush will yield SUPERB results. Definitely a learning curve on this, even for an experienced painter, but once you figure it out, you will be delighted. Don't worry if the color looks a little weird when it's watered down, it will dry just fine but make sure you thoroughly mix the paint after watering down and don't have water dripping out of your paint brush handle. Damped your brush again while working and you will have much better luck. Sometimes I wipe the damp brush across the surface before painting and it helps the paint smooth out evenly and then I can brush over it repeatedly to even it out before the paint become tacky.

Used on the outside of our front door, which was heavily weather damaged wood. Paint applied smoothly, with good coverage. Achieved a smooth, matte finish with 2 coats. Minimal brush marks using my favorite Wooster Shortcut paint brush, (the absolute best paint brush I've used in 40 years of painting!). I used about 2/3 of the 500ml can, for 2 coats on outside of paneled door, and 2 coats on sidelight window surround. The Midnight Blue color is a very rich, deep, dark blue. Very happy with this product so far, can't judge durability or weathering yet. I would definitely buy again.

This stuff is amazing. I have been remodeling my main floor which has included multiple painting projects. I bought this in Midnight Blue to refinish a light gray table that sits in my front entry way. I put two coats on and only used about a third of the jar. It dries quick, levels beautifully, and the soft bristle brush I used left no marks. All you can see is the wood grain, which is intentional. No priming, no paint sprayer, no top coat. I will never paint furniture with anything else again.

Outstanding product ! I refinished a dresser and it came out beautiful. Only a light sanding to scuff up the surface for better adhesion of the paint and a little cleaning was all the prep work necessary. It truly does self level, not a brush stroke mark in sight. The non-gloss finish is very attractive and the "Midnight Blue" color was as advertised. When I saw the small jar of Fusion that was delivered, I thought for certain I'd be needing to order another to complete the job. Well I was wrong. A little goes a long way. I applied two coats of paint and still have almost half the jar left. Did the project indoors without any paint smell and clean-up of the brushes was quick and easy.

LOVE this paint ! No odor, flows nicely while painting. Will definitely buy again.
