Well made by an Amazing American Company
Ordered our bracket for a mantle we were installing. Exceptional quality with this product. If you have a sincere question ask the seller. They will help and go above and beyond. Thankfully, that was my experience.

Easy to install
High quality connections and very sturdy. Easy to install and hit studs no matter where you align. Only issue was the mess on my hands while holding it up for install!

Worked perfectly
We bought this to hang a 76" fireplace mantel (large beam). The directions and jig were included with mount so by following them it went up without a problem and looks great. Just what we were looking for.

Good for the price and range of options. Not the best.
I bought this for a personal project, and it just so happened that we had a run of floating shelves to make at work around the same time, so I got a crash course in how to install two competing hidden shelf bracket systems. In short, even though they are less expensive, the Sheppard brackets involve more steps and take more tools and skill than more expensive brackets, and the end result isn’t as secure without additional materials that are not provided. The Sheppard bracket system is good in that they offer a variety of options to choose from so you can have a bracket that meets the needs of the shelf you’re installing. They also provide a guide for boring the holes necessary to accept the rods that go into and support the shelf.Compared to the two-piece shelf bracket we used at work, which require simply dadoing out a channel to accept the male half of the bracket, installing the Sheppard bracket takes far more time to lay out and remove material to install. In addition to tracing out the back of the bracket, which is typical of both bracket systems I used, you need to also mark out the centers where the rods need to be bored out for, and then make sure to align the guide so that it lines up with the same center point. I accomplished this by fastening the bracket to my piece, marking out the corners, and then dropping a Speed-bor bit through each and tapping it with a hammer to make a dimple. Then I went through and lined up the guide with the center by placing it over the Speed-bor bit with the tip resting in the dimple, and did my best to screw it in place while I tried hard not to move it before I drilled out the bore hole. This is a process that I came up with myself, and I might not have thought of it if solving problems like this weren’t part of my job.Even with the guide, it is difficult to make a truly perpendicular bore unless you have a drill press that drills true and have sufficient clamps to keep the piece stationary while doing so. Otherwise, you will need to open up the bores to get enough slop to slide the rods in until the back of the bracket is seated and properly concealed. Also, there is no way to securely fasten the the shelf to the bracket without epoxy or installing visible set screws. Epoxy means installing the shelf permanently, and having set screws defeats the goal of disguising the bracket (not the end of the world, but it’s a detail). I suppose one could channel out and epoxy some magnets to hold the shelf to the bracket, which is what I would likely do if I used these again.

Perfect Mount for Mantel
We used this to mount a reclaimed beam for a mantel above our pellet stove. It was easy to install after drilling with the included jig. The seller was amazing at responsiveness. Within minutes of sending a question about this custom product, they responded with a detailed response. Would highly recommend buying this mount.

Great fit!
I purchased this bracket for a smaller mantle I was building for a customer. Worked just as good as any name brand ones.

Great Quality
The product is constructed well and grips the wall when screwed in. The only caveat is that you'll have an easier time installing if you're better than a beginner woodworker.
