Q: I purchased this item but 2 of the 3 bottles arrived broken with hot sauce all over the inside packaging. How do I get a replacement?

This recently happened to me. My first order had one bottle's cap broken, and it leaked in the box. I knew immediately something could be wrong when I picked up the box and heard the bottles rattling around inside. Since this is an X-Max present I ordered another three bottles and this time the shipment was to be delivered today, but the order was cancelled because it was damaged in transit. AMAZON, IT'S VERY FRUSTRATING HOW YOU FAIL TO PACKAGE GLASS BOTTLES WELL, ESPECIALLY THIS THREE-BOTTLE-HOT-SAUCE-PACKAGE. TELL YOUR WAREHOUSE PACKAGERS TO BE ESPECIALLY CAREFUL PACKING THIS PRODUCT - IT'S BECOMING A MONEY LOSER FOR YOU AND A SOURCE OF FRUSTRATION FOR YOUR CUSTOMERS!

Q: What's the Scoville rating. How does the heat compare to tabasco sauce?

Habanero and Tabasco sauces are very different. I rarely consider the scoville/heat ratings but focus on the flavor. This particular habanero has good habanero flavor while (my opinion only - I like heat) is not very “hot.” Good flavor which is why I like it and use it on so much of my food.

Q: Is this perishable once opened?

Technically it is supposed to be refrigerated once opened because the food police say so, BUT I leave mine out all the time and have never had an issue. I've consumed 10 -12 bottles over the past couple of years and they have all been left out once opened.
