All 4 servos functioned properly when I first got these. I have a lot of rc cars that I mainly keep on display but I want them functional and ready to go if and when I want to drive them. These servos are perfect for that. I wouldn’t run these in my race cars, but honestly that is not what they are designed for.

I use these in pretty much everything. Best cheap metal gear since the 90s. Restored my associated MGT with them. Had them in a tamiya brat when I was a kid, still use them in my large scale planes, 2wd rc cars. And backup servos for crawlers/bashers when the expensive ones break half way through the day.

these "Metal Gear" Micro Servos are great for projects requiring higher torque where plastic gears might strip. They worked great in my project to make a smart plunger stop lift for a water tank! They work using 5 Volts and could be wired directly to an ESP32. They each were packaged with 3 different lever arms and mounting screws to get the project going!

Something that people that use these should be aware of, something that i found while setting up some cars both 1/10 and 1/8, these have proven to me not to be good use for 1/8 because of the weight and size, however they seem to work perfectly in the 1/10 brushless cars that only need a good operating steering servo, good luck to all of you that have these cars. These do what they should. They are not super fast and I abuse them quite badly. Seems like the electronics give out before the mechanics do. They start to get a hesitation after several crashes. Maybe the potentiometer going bad. A Little slack in the bushings causing the control arm to have a little play. After all of that, I would still buy them again and I’m going to. Just to keep spares in an emergency. I imagine if I was not crashing them every time, these would last a while.

These are great for rc cars.

Not the best and the fastest, but are sufficient for stock builds and good enough for stock rc races. I have been using these econo servos for all my rc projects and so far I had no bad experiences with them long term. I recommend them for RC car projects.

These can easily be modified for 360 continuous rotation, note that there is no stop pin in the servo output shaft gear. If needed spray some WD40 into the gearbox.

Great item works as described would buy again if required

I bought this servo with high hopes that it will perform well as it claims to have metal gears. However, upon inspection, there was only one metal gear whilst the rest were plastic. The plastic gears do not uphold the 10kg+ specification and the gears strip easily. I saw a review that had a photo of the supposed servo, showing it had metal gears within, however this is fake as the servo I received was not the same. Below are photos to prove this. DO NOT BUY

They are working well in my 1.4 kg delta plane. They are as described.

I ordered this part as a replacement for a generic MG996R. The depth is different to the orginal part and does not fit into the meatl framework which means it must be non-standard. I will be returning it.
