excellent book
Honest, forthright, compelling. Straight from the heart of one of the great theologians of the last 50 years. Well worth the read.

Dance Lessons worth taking
Ray Anderson is one of the best-kept secrets of modern day Christian thought. As both an experienced pastor and true world-class theologian/theological educator (educated under T.F. Torrance at Edinburgh), his latest work is his best work yet. It shows the width and breadth of a theology that goes inspiringly beyond the pale of standard, threadbare evangelical thought while still being thoroughly and dynamically orthodox to its core. Of special interest are his chapters "Did Jesus have to die on the cross?" and the one on how we think about Hell, which has more meat in one chapter than McClaren's entire book on the subject (which is a pretty good book on the whole.)As a teaching pastor myself of a growing church who knows how intergral doing theology well is to the life of any authentically biblical community, I unreservedly and enthusiastically recommend "Dancing with Wolves while Feeding the Sheep" to anyone interested in learning to dance in rythm to a vibrant, Christ-centered beat. This is a book of which I can say resoundingly, "That dog will HUNT!" -Tim Sutherland, teaching pastor, Community Christian Church, Naperville, Illinois
