A Must-Have for a Lush Lawn!
I can't say enough good things about Scotts Turf Builder WinterGuard Fall Lawn Fertilizer. After using it for the first time last fall, my lawn came back in the spring looking healthier and greener than ever before. This stuff really works to nourish the grass roots and prepare them for the harsh winter months. It was easy to spread and the coverage area was perfect for my yard size. My lawn looks incredibly thick and vibrant, and I'm convinced this is the reason. If you want a beautiful lawn next spring, this is the fertilizer you need to put down in the fall.

Well worth the price.
This fertilizer is excellent. This brought my grass to life in late fall and even as winter has started and it is 25 degrees outside, the grass is still bright green and not growing wild. Absolutely amazing.

Lawn appears healthier...
The grass got greener... as for the turf builder part, the jury is still out. I haven't seen evidence of it yet.

Greenest Lawn on the Block
Provides a nice green color when soaks into ground. A bag covers my front and back lawns. Best lawn on the block. Good value and easier to have delivered to my door. Saves having to carry myself from store. Scott is a great product and use all their fertilizers.

Great value for great product. Grass was dried out and full of weeds. Very hot dry summer. Spread this fertilizer and after watering for a few days, grass is coming back nicely. Dark green and healthy looking with hardly any weeds. Extremely happy. Highly recommend.

Awesome product!
I had neighbors asking hoooowwwww my yard looked so good this fall when every other yard was looking sad! I will always lay this in the fall, great product! My lawn is so healthy and green! I cant wait to see how it comes back in the spring because I bet the plant will really thrive because it was fed so well in the fall.

I applied this product towards the end of October, 2025. I will add to this review in the spring of 2026 two let readers know how it worked. In terms of the application, I used a long spreader with the recommended settings. No issues with the amount being dispersed or the quality of the granular.
